I've just download the 2.1 final version and pinched myweather.xml from there and that works properly for me now.

Ok, good, at least i know the stacklayout tags i used are the problems...and that they don't like to be scaled. Just out of curiosity, do you use basichome or the regular home screen. If you use basichome, do you have the same type of problem?

I'll start with an 8 line larger font/no genre tv guide. I think it will end up being large enough and be of interest to many people. Should be able to post something relatively soon.

Took way less time than i thought...Its as big as will fit, a 16 point font. Anything bigger and i'd have to take away rows in the guide.

Used it now for a few days and the guide now is ideal for viewing from my sofa. I'm sure others will also find it useful for the same reasons. Thanks again.

Glad that you found it useful. I've added that tvguide option to the installer, and uploaded it to the server. Link is still the same (see first post in thread). Other than finishing the default icons, not much else has changed; that's why i kept the same version number.

I wonder if this is only a problem for me, but I am using norwegian EPG data.
And some categories are overlapping the next program in the guide, IF the program is very short and it displays a very small template.

And also: The record now, stop recording and context menu is very buggish in the TV part.
Its like I have to try several times to start a recording or stop it.

About the EPG category, it's the same on a skin I am currently making.
Somehow I cant get this bug away, perhaps something in the engine?

Its not meant to. If/when i do a version for the svn, I will post it to the thread, and update the first post with the version of mp the skin works with. Right now, i have no plans to do an svn version, i don't have the time to download a new svn every couple of days to keep up with the changes. Sorry.

I'd have to see the whole screen..but if the program times are short, and the names long, that could be what is supposed to happen. You can only make the guide area so big before it runs off the screen. After that you can play with the font size to keep your program titles/genres basically within those limits. Beyond that, i don't know what else a skinner really has control of in the tvguide page that would help you address the problem.

I have issues too, but they really relate more to mp itself and how it works with my quirky tv card. Not that skins can't have a negative effect on performance, but i seem to have the same tv issues regardless of skin. if you can be more specific or post screen shots, we might be able to find a solution if there's a skinning issue.
