Here is a fullscreen of the EPG issue.

This screenshot is taken from my workcomputer, with yesterdays SVN of MP.
Dont even have TV card installed here, channels only added for testing.
But its the same on my HTPC, running stable 0.2.2.0.

About the recording and stop recording:
I dont think its a MP fault, or TV card issue. The functions works flawless in other skins.

I've been able to reproduce the recording error once or twice, but not consistently. Could you list the settings you are using for:
Timeshift (on/off?)
are you recording until manual stop or until program ends?
Does it happen from full screen tv or from tvhome or both?

I haven't been able to reproduce the epg error. Even tried switching my language to Norwegian. I did however find out how lousy some of this skin looks in a language with non-standard characters. I do most of my testing in English, some in German, so i hadn't seen this before.

Thanks for the compliments. If you are asking about a new svn version, the answer is no for right now. I've been trying to add new graphics and get all the bugs for .2.2.0 worked out (as you see there are still a couple). In chasing down the problems DarkWader has, i've found additional things to tweak, the minepg in full screen tv and a tv preview display glitch. Its also a time issue, right now i don't have the time to download and play with the svn on a regular basis.

That all being said, i plan uploading another update within the next week. If enough gets done, i may even call it a final version for .2.2.0. Thanks again for the feedback, it makes my work much easier.

Actually I havent trusted the skin for a automatic recording yet, because of the recording error.
I have only tryed to activate a manual recording and manually stop it, from the tvhome screen.
I have never tryed in any skin to start a recording from fullscreen tv, as I "need" to see the record button to trust it.. its after all a computer with XP installed

The first time I press the "record now" button nothing happens, the second time it might happen. The third usually works.
Its the same for trying to stop the recording.

EDIT: forgot one thing, Timeshifting is always on.

And I also forgott to mention that the menu in myhome and myhomeplugins is very slow?
Even with animations turned off? Is this something you have added on purpose?
(I never use them, only basichome, but anyway..)

i don't know about very slow, but i have slowed down the menus some in the home screens. For mouse users (i am one of them when i'm skinning), the default speed was a bit of a pain. I tried to find the best balance for both types of users. Going forward, i want to have separate home screens among other things for mouse and remote users. There's already a choice for it in the installer, i just need to make some graphics for a top bar.

just to clarify one thing, when you hit the record button (either in mytvhome or on the remote in full screen tv) a dialog box should pop up with two choices. Are you choosing "Until Manual Stop"? I believe the other choice is "until the end of the current program" or something like that. I'm thinking the problem may be with this dialog box, at least that's where i'm going to start.

No problem dude! the skin looks very awesome imo one of the best can't wait till the next version! When ever I try to use the one uploaded now Media Portal starts with a blank screen but the sound effects are still present ie when You press a button on the remote anyway keep up the great work!

I just tested abit more, and I actually had to try to start and stop recordings several times before the error accured now..
But it did, and it seems its the "record current program" option that is most buggy.
Only happend once with the "record untill manual stop"

Could it be something with the EPG data? Since I also mentioned that EPG bug?

This usually is a result of the weather overlay plugin being enabled and using the mce variation of the skin (or any skin that doesn't take advantage of the weather overlay). Easy fix, go into mp config and then the plugins tree and disable the plugin, that should do the trick.

There are a few interesting skinning developments with the svn versions of mp, i may give it a try soon.

I don't know...but i kind of doubt it since my epg is displaying properly and i can also force an error when trying to record. My guess its still the dialog box, but i won't know for sure til i get an hour or two of testing in over the weekend.

EDIT....i can now replicate your epg error....unfortunately neither of the default skins shows genre, so i'm not sure if its the skin or mp. But i think the problem has to do with TV shows that don't start on the hour, half hour (and maybe quarter hour). When i see the error, the shows started at xx:05 or xx:35 or something odd like that. Not sure as of right now if there is anything i can do with the skin to change this.

Worked perfectly thanks!! when ever I load up MP it gives Me an skin outdated will cause problems error but that should be expected since I've been upgrading to the latest Svn;s thanks again.
