Will do, what exactly is the issue? Fanart doesn't work on a fresh install but does after an upgrade?

what exactly is the issue?

Normally it should look like this:

There is a poster displayed on the left side, a thumb in the list and a fanart in the background.

With the latest Weekly that contains your modifications to the fanart handler it is looking like that:

No poster and no fanart is displayed, only the thumbnail...

This is skin independent and 100% reproducible. This applies to the series details view only, as far as I know...

As soon as I'm back to the previous Weekly (2015-11-07) all is back to normal. And I always have this issue as soon as I'm using this Build (2015-11-21). Did not matter if I've done a fresh installation with this weekly or did an upgrade from a previous version. This never is working here...

I've attached a test bin.
Make a backup of
'C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MP2-Client\Plugins\FanArtService.Client\FanArtService.Client.dll'
and replace with the version in the attached zip.

It's working perfectly for episodes. Only for "Season Filter View" no FanArts are shown.

Did this ever worked? Never saw fanart in season filter view. Thought for this the MIA rework is needed...

You are right, it never worked so far. But also the series view is a matter for the MIA rework, series and saisons are currently both handled by a filter only. therefore I'm wondering, if we need to wait for the MIA rework to implement fanart backgrounds also for seasons.

Indeed. Would be nice if fanart can be shown in season filter view too.
