Hi, it works great guys! Tested my problemmovies and found out that with i.e. lord of the rings with dts-hd(?) now indeed playback is possible. Not possible earlier with old mpaudiorenderer and lav filters. ac3 to auto and speakerconfig to 63. Speakerconfig did the trick to get it to autoput ac3 on my setup. My receiver is not capable of dts-hd(?), but with speakerconfig to 63 got it working at dolby digital.
Live TV is also working, but i had to switch to MS codecs because image would stall every time with LAV filters if i select mini tv guide during tv playback. When exiting from mini tv guide, playback was resumed. But MS codecs are perfect for TV.
Playback with displaychanger enabled to do 60hz NTSC movies/dvd's is also working great. All with LAV filters. Was not working good with old version of renderer. Online videos with maudiorenderer is also working as expected.

The only slight thing i saw is that while LV filters are enabled and Video and Audio LAV filters are visible in the stats screen (shift+!), on the end just before DVD Navigator ffdshow video decoder is visible. That's strange because LAV is enabled and visible in that line too. Graphstudio shows an inactive LAV codec and selects another mpeg2 decoder. Strange.

So no real issues at the moment, realy happy with it, makes selecting decoders a simple task now. :)
    BIG thanks for you guys!

That's because LAV Video Decoder doesn't support DVD yet.

If you are using MediaPortal Audio Renderer for live TV then you need to use experimental TsReader.ax attached in this post. Later on teh experimental TsReader builds will contain the required changes as well.

Is the tsreader the Owlsroost version 50+new added code?
newer dshowhelper.dll version like 92 is ok too?

    Yes :) .

The dshowhelper version in this thread is the MP 1.2.3 version (v55g) but with the MP Audio Renderer interface enabled.

I've also just added 'noStopMod54' to the experimental TsReader thread - this is v53a with a minor tweak.

I cannot seem to get WASAPI to work with live tv or .ts files. All other files work and I get AC3 encoding, but whenever the file is .ts I get reverted to DirectSound with 2.0 audio (spdif with no AC3). Any idea what might be causing the problem?

Please retest with the new MPAR version that can be found from the new thread: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/threads/mediaportal-audio-renderer.107316/

Same thing happens with this version too. I've had this problem for years now if I remember correctly.

    Here are the log files.

Disable the dual audio setting in MP. Unfortunately the audio switcher filter is not compatible at the moment with the audio renderer.

I am trying to test this but I get no registry settings to change as MediaPortal as well as Graphstudio hangs on playback when I try to use it. :( I followed the installation notes to the letter, turned off all bitstreaming in LAV (using the version included with SAF 6.09) but I can't find a setting to turn AC3 encoding on/off, is this a new/more recent feature in LAV Filters?

I've tried h264 files with AC3 (mkv) as well as xvid with mp3 (avi) with the same results. I'm on Windows XP running MePo 1.2.3 Final.
