    Hi,

    Still no further in finding the cause for the crashing. I've included more log files don't know if they'll help or not.

    Hmmm, have you tried using a different skin? I use Default Wide; you use Titan...

    i've gone through the logs from several crashes with different skins and the same error occurs in each:

    Titan Theme:

    [2013-12-09 23:02:08,390] [Log ] [MPMain ] [DEBUG] - Window: TvPlugin.TVProgramInfo deinit
    [2013-12-09 23:02:08,395] [Log ] [MPMain ] [DEBUG] - TextureManager: CleanupThumbs()

    Here > [2013-12-09 23:02:08,407] [Log ] [MPMain ] [WARN ] - GUIWindow:OnWindowLoaded: 'C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Skin\Titan\mytvguide.xml' is missing control id 98 (window property: videoBackground)

    Here > [2013-12-09 23:02:08,417] [Log ] [MPMain ] [WARN ] - GUIWindow:OnWindowLoaded: 'C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Skin\Titan\mytvguide.xml' is missing control id 98 (window property: videoBackground)

    [2013-12-09 23:02:08,422] [Log ] [MPMain ] [DEBUG] - DialogWindow: TvPlugin.TVGuide init

    And again with Default Wide Theme:

    [2013-12-09 23:20:45,476] [Log ] [MPMain ] [DEBUG] - Window: TvPlugin.TVProgramInfo deinit
    [2013-12-09 23:20:45,477] [Log ] [MPMain ] [DEBUG] - TextureManager: CleanupThumbs()

    Here > [2013-12-09 23:20:45,489] [Log ] [MPMain ] [WARN ] - GUIWindow:OnWindowLoaded: 'C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Skin\DefaultWide\mytvguide.xml' is missing control id 98 (window property: videoBackground)

    Here > [2013-12-09 23:20:45,496] [Log ] [MPMain ] [WARN ] - GUIWindow:OnWindowLoaded: 'C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Skin\DefaultWide\mytvguide.xml' is missing control id 98 (window property: videoBackground)
    Here > [2013-12-09 23:20:45,497] [Log ] [MPMain ] [WARN ] - GUIWindow:OnWindowLoaded: 'C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Skin\DefaultWide\mytvguide.xml' is missing control id 99 (window property: videoWindow)

    [2013-12-09 23:20:45,499] [Log ] [MPMain ] [DEBUG] - DialogWindow: TvPlugin.TVGuide init

    Edit: i've also included the logs from a fresh install of 8.1 pro, no drivers but windows default and from windows update, no updates either apart from enabling .net 3.5 in turn windows features on and off.

    Crashing is very consistent. entering the guide, clicking on the channel to show programs just for that channel, then click on a program, then go back once and then again to the main guide and it crashes straight away.

    I can't reproduce with these instructions... though something odd does happen: I seem to get stuck in a mode where the selection/highlight only works for channel group and channel. In other words, I can't select a program with either mouse or keyboard.

    @Testers can anybody reproduce?

    ye you have to select the channel first on the left most column so it shows on the programs for that channel, thats the only way you can select a program. It seems to be after that small bug it crashes if you keep using it. I'm glad its not just my systems though!
