    Hi,

looks promising, but the date of core.dll gives me this information:
    Detected: 0.2.0.0 RC1 (2005-34-16)
Strange date i think. ;) Which date do you use? I am using a CVS of 16.11. and the right date would be "last changed".

    Flip.

    Hahaha LOL, whoops...
    I used: LastWriteTime.ToString("yyyy-mm-dd")
    Instead of: .LastWriteTime.ToString("yyyy-MM-dd")

mm = minutes of a DateTime
MM = month of a DateTime

I've uploaded the new version over the version on my website.

    Hi Zyphrax,

this is GREAT stuff!!! Worked really good on my system and I would also go for integrating this little tool into the official MP releases. Would help us a lot with more precise support requests.

Only thing I'd like you to think about is why you only give the option to open "mediaportal.log". Maybe you can do this better as a selectbox with also error.log or vmr.log in it...

    But again, good job!

    New version deployed

It seems that this version is stable enough to deploy to the forum users. I have removed all other versions besides:

The new version of MediaPortal Support Wizard:
MediaPortal Support (the new version that will be used by forum users)

The old version of MediaPortal Support Wizard:
MediaPortal Support (the old version forum users were using)

    My todo:
    - Better TvCard detection (through system info not media portal info)
    - Driver detection (for VideoCard, AudioCard, TvCard)
    - Redesign VideoCard, AudioCard, TvCard, Video Render Type etc. selection, because now only one of each ends up in the Report, multiple would be nice.

I'm not sure how much time i'll have this week, but i'll do some digging on the driver detection, there must be a nice way to gather that information.

If there are any bugs/fatal errors/wrong tabindex settings ;)/you name it, please post them here. And i'll try to fix them.

Thanks again to all for testing the application, and your suggestions!

Lol, ah well, if it ain't broke, don't fix it :D.
Their MediaPortal issue will bother them soo much, that they won't notice the B2 skin

By the way, have you ever tried to make a CheckBox (with Windows XP visual style) transparent?
Yeez, that's a pain (at least in .Net 1.1, 2.0 might cure it).

    This is a great tool!!

I have some food for thought, it would be neat to integrate this with our bug tracker mantis to make reporting issues easier. Possibly via a web service or email.

Anyone looking for something to do? :)

    edit:
I found matisconnect which impliments a phpwebservice for mantis ...and has a client C# library.

    Zyphrax,

There must be a short between me and the keyboard, but I've tried just about every link in this thread to down load the "MediaPortal Support Wizard" but all I get is errors and url or file not found.
Please help me getting this program.
