Motherboard is now showing nothing any more on my system.
dx, cpu and speed is ok.

I think programms like everest problebly have a database to compare against to find chipset / motherboard type. But I think that's to much effort for a tool like this.

ok i uploaded another new version with the same name:
MediaPortal Support 19-11-2005 3

You might get some Motherboard information this time.

Other changes:
- Add: I remove words like 'processor', '(tm)', '(c)', '(r)' in the detection of the processor
- Add: I ignore a videocard containing the word 'Secondary'
- Add: Server 2003 to the detection and OS list
- Add: I do not add the clockspeed if the processor name contains AMD and a +

If this version works ok, i'll replace the version everyone is using on the forum (MediaPortal Support.exe).

Just tested your latest version (3).
    Everything seems to work correctly.

    Apart from:

-TV card - not yet implemented, if I remember right

-mp version not recognized. It is 0.2 RC with cvs from a week ago.
This is also none of your dropdown options (only 0.2RC1 with latest cvs)

    - it says overlay, but I use vmr9 (going to check afterwards to make sure)

    Another thing:
If you are supposed to run the support app from the htpc, the text size is far to smaal. Even 1m from the tv screen it is more of a guessing than reading what is written on the screens.Sorry, to say that because the screen layouts are really well done.

You're right, I didn't implement this one yet. I would like to gather this information from the system, but that's quite hard, since I can't determine whether a device is a Tvcard or not.

I adjusted the version detection, it should work better now. To help the developers pinpoint your version, I've added the last modified date of the Core.Dll file to the detected version.

It reads the Video Render Type from the configuration.xml (your setting for MyTv that is).

I compared the font size of the MediaPortal Support Wizard to the font size of the MediaPortal Setup Wizard. They roughly match. I might be able to add a supersize option or something, but that's for the next version :)

    Here is a new version:
    MediaPortal Support 2005-11-20

    Changes:
    - Fix: A little issue with the Video Render Type (remember it uses the setting from MyTv)
    - Fix: Some string replacement issues
    - Fix: Detection of the MP version
    - Add: Simple detection using MP of the TvCard
    - Add: MP version detection shows modification date of Core.dll
    - Add: Some extra error handling here and there
    - Add: I convert the VideoCard name to normal casing (stupid WMI)

I didn't add detection of driver versions and TvCard type yet. That's a ToDo for later. Also I'd like to gather the TvCard information through the SystemInfo instead of the MPInfo. But this is at least something.

And thanks again, for aiding me in the creation of this little app.
