Re: AW: MediaPortal SVN-Snapshot:-01-08-2010 02-15h - Revision:24669.rar

^ The last SVN 24669 is for MP 1.1.0 Beta 1 - NOT for 1.0.2!!!

Oops...
Will reinstall and try again.
Thank you

Hi again.

I tried to install the 1.1.0 Beta1 and SVN 24669 and now I have an almost identical problem, but not quite. Before when I tried TV2 Zulu there was just a blank screen, now it says unable to start graph. As before some channels work and some dont with no apparent pattern.
I've created a new log zip that can be downloaded from HERE.
BTW - I have enabled reset graph.

I hope this is enough information to figure it out.
Any help is much appreciated.

I'm very sorry, I'm rather new at this forum
I've tried to collect the logs and hope I've done it correctly.
The .zip file with the logs can be found HERE (I didn't know where else to upload it)

I tried watching 4 different channels.
The first (DR1) works fine, changed to TV2 which also works fine, then I change to TV2 Zulu, and just get a black sceen (no error message), then to Kanal5 and I get an error message "Unable to start graph".

I hope this is enough information, otherwise I will be more than happy to supply more - I just don't know what at the moment.

Thank you for the help in advance

    Hi,

You can actually attach the logs to the forum post. When you are posting, scroll down to where it says 'Manage attachments' and I'm sure you will be able to work it out.

Anyway, I have no doubt that catavolt has provided the solution. Completely uninstall MediaPortal, then remove the entire C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal directory, then reinstall 1.1.0 beta 1 and apply the SVN. I'm sure it will work!

    Best wishes,

    Mark

    Hi again Mark (and others)

I tried to uninstall complete and install from the top again.
But the problem is the same. Some channels works fine, some are just black, and some prompts the unable to start graph error.
I have attached the log zip...
As before the resetgraph toggle has been enabled.

    Guys,

Bar the odd (already posted) issues with this SVN, I'd say its the best to date (been running since release) :)

There have been some great moves recently in regards to stuttering and dropped frames too :)

But I have noticed more and more people are running SVN's as production releases (hence more "less experienced" people are trying to report "bugs" - sometimes incorrectly)

    Many thanks,

    J.

Re: Latest FireDTV DVB-C driver not working on XP SP3

I have some more information regarding this issue. I repeated the test with the new driver version on Win 7 x64 and discovered that it worked fine when "Generic" is used as the preferred network provider in TV Server Configuration for the FireDTV tuner. It is selected by default. However, when changed to "DVBC", the same issues occur as when using XP. In XP "Generic" network provider does not exist.

    Hi,

I've got massive problems with paytv, have a valid subscription but onyl 2 of the the channels that belong to my package have been descrambled and till yesterday even they are gone now :(

It' seems for me that it has something to do with MP and mpeg and ac3 audio streams on scrambled channels???

I've posted that in the bug report section allready, but as I read in this thread that there were some problems concerning ac3 audio switching etc. I thought It could have something to do with this SVN and my problem!?:

I used an older MP version for nearly one year now, but I wanted to see what happened this time. So I installed the new SVN. It works really smoth here, very nice. I had just one problem today. MP had a frozen picture on RBB Berlin and no sound, all other channels i tried worked fine. I add the log files here, it turned on with RBB, I switched to ARD and switched back to RBB using PowerDVD decoder and MPC decoder. I can reproduce it at my other System with Windows Vista SP2. It worked using the MS decoder there. But then I m unable to watch ARD...

The TV-Server is installed on a own System. Intel Atom N270, 2GB DDR2, 1000GB Western Digital, 2x FloppyDTV S2, Gigabit LAN, 25Watt at all, Windows Vista SP2 working fine.

    Thanks for your great work!

WIth this svn, I have 2 problems:

    1) while playing live tv or a video file , dvd mediaportal sometimes freezes if at the 2nd time I press the info button. Sound keeps playing but no image and mediaportal does not respond anymore. Codec used is PDVD 9.
I try to generate a debug report but failed to reproduce the error. Instead another one appears, MP hangs. What I did was to play a recorded livetv then try to trigger the OSD problem by pressing info. Then I play a bit with rewind. Then stiop playing. Then MP just hangs on a black screen.

    2) Sometimes when I stop a live TV, then I have to reboot in order to play again live tv otherwise dvb-s card and CAM have error. I used Nova-CI dvb-s with CAM.

Here are logs to both cases.
