    Re: Will teletext remain unusable..

You are right, sorry about that-
    new attachment.

    /gibman

could u try and compile and test this patch.

    now using forward while loops.

    /gibman

    Okay.

I took a test. and reverted GUITextureManager.cs to 24521 rev(Tortoise show log rev for GUITextureManager file). and it's
ok now. I have not done any deeper analysis of code, but there is difference using "foreach" and "for" clauses runing backwards, for cached textures table, as well as how disposing is done.

    Regards
    @gibman
    Aren't you missing

    Code:
    i++;

from while loop in patch file starting in line 353 in patch file ?

    Looks like infinity loop. :)

    Regards,

Sill sad news. Teletext works only once with this patch.

    Regards,

    Hi all,

I've had some issues with this SVN and the last one which I couldn't put my finger on.

but heres what I've found at the moment (will do some proper logs, which will take a few days to do)

    1: with a clean install of Win7 64 bit
no drivers installed for video card (8800GTA) using the the MS drivers
no codec installed (select MS Codec)
2: installed the Beta 1.1 MP
3: added Line21-2 and core CC parser in "Videos" post processing
4: viewing CC when watching DVD (uses Line 21-2)
5: viewing CC when watching TS (uses Line 21-2 with Core CC Parser)
6: graphedit shows proper connections for both viewings (as stated in the Video settings)
no issues.. even switched between them both and graphedit shows the new connections.

    installed the lastest (this SVN)

1: post procesing will not connect (Line 21-2) for DVD viewing
(added Line 21-2) to DVD postprocessing as well.
Graphedit displays the Line 21-2 but not connected
2: Added Line 21-2 and core parser to Television's post processing
3: able to view CC in the TS file.
4: unable to test the video part as I don't have a sample of a video file with CC (or that would use a post processer)

I will have to reinstall win7 and create logs with the beta 1.1 along with graphs
then go a few SVN back and do some logs there and finally logs for this SVN.

you might say that you can't support CC or Line21 and I have to beg to please consider this as it's equilvent to Teletext.

(I have installed codec such as SAF and Cyberlink9 and wow did this make viewing unbearble/stuttering... but thats another story/logs)

    See this: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...er-etc-325/closed-captions-support-dvd-77611/

CC has been disabled for ages in code, don't ask why, and recent graph building changes now made your scenario to be valid. Positive side effect from that work is that it is now quite easy to enable CC natively in MP. Maybe that patch will find its way to SVN (even in feature freeze, that is why I didn't commit it directly) - who knows. Anyway there is now possibility via patch or we have to skip rendering that pin.

I am having focus issues with this svn. Initially thought this was a skin issue with Maya - see this link - since I dit not see this at first using default bluewide skin.

    Steps to reproduce:

    Start MP
    Enter TV-section.
Highligt frame surrounding tv preview window and press ok on remote.
Screen goes black and tv then starts - not full screen but inside preview window.
Press again - tv goes fullscreen.
Press ok on remote to load up miniguide
Choose a channel in another format (for instance: from Mpeg2 to mpeg4 or between two interlaced/noninterlaced mpeg4s)
Screen goes black again - then a short flash back to tv skin page with the preview window - about ½ a second
Screen goes black and new channel starts

Further info: Pressing info while in full screen tv pops up the program info but the blue background is gone and is now transparent.

Logs attached. Best wishes and thx for a great program.

went to post my part 3 of 3 logs (starting with the last one first) and see this post

this is good to know will keep me from going insane ;)
for what it's worth.. here's my log and screenshot of the graph anyways... (also I didn't see that the log creates graph as well.. nice)

could you please tell me how to load this patch and do I need to do both ?

many thanks for all of your work

ard and zdf have MPEG + AC3 audio, no AAC afaik.
    i have uploaded the buffer-file to http://macgyver.karmafish.net/live3-0.ts.tsbuffer1.ts ( 185mb ).

after 20 seconds there is the channel change from anixe.hd to zdf.hd.
in mpc i get the garbage video described by alexirion with (coreavc 2.0 without cuda on a different computer).
the mpc-hc and microsoft codec work fine in mpc.
playing in MP my video ( coreavc 2.0 and ms-dtv codec ) the picture freezes and the sound stops while the timeline continues.
the gui is still responsive and i can stop the playback.

Could you try this TsReader, I think it should solve this issue. ( looks like Coreavc and ms-dtv need to be disconnected/reconnected to graph on each HD format change ... size / interlacing / fps ... )

doesn't work for me. in fact everything seems slower and mp hangs a lot when using coreavc.

    so with coreavc switching from anixe.hd ( 1080i/mpeg4 ) to zdf.hd ( 720p/mpeg4 ) still causes a complete crash.
with the ms-dtv codec no crash, just no picture and a slow gui where i can change to another program. ( sometimes even no gui, but channel+ key works ).

but the main problem is that in 50% of the channel changes from an mpeg2 program (using cyberlink codec ) to zdf.hd mediaportal hangs completely with coreavc.
with the ms codecs everything ( except anixe.hd -> zdf.hd) works, but it seems that changing channels is slower than before.

Hi, seems like the same problem I have.
Is it correct that this only happens in live tv?
I mean if you start a recording and the change channel, and the you play the recording again, you dont have a problem at the channel change?

Hi, just a small one I found when coming home tonight - tvserver on separate machine was running, but unresponsive - after checking logs I found that during last recording disc went full - tvservice stopped - and in consequence the client crashed (multiseat).
A more userfriendly behaviour would be:
Stop recording before disk is full, still allowing live TV and notify the (network)client about broken recording and/or disc full condition. Do not stop TVservice - as this still slows down networkclients or make them crash.

I don't think, this is so important to change before RC, but might be worth for later release?

2010-02-11 19:07:10.339638 [(2)]: Tvservice stopped due to a app domain exception System.IO.IOException: Es steht nicht genug Speicherplatz auf dem Datenträger zur Verfügung.

Please, try in singleseat, because RTSP could trigger other problem.
I've checked here between 720p and 1080i channels, it was a beautiful garbage with coreavc before, now it works...

I have exactly the same behavour than sbp. CoreAVC with Cuda enabled, crashes and the ms codec has problems with switching from anixe.hd to zdf.hd, but at least it's not crashing and it's hardware accelerated too. So, at the moment, it's my choice.
The channel switch crash with Cuda CoreAVC is also reproducible in my video, too - I have a ts file for it. I also gave CoreCodec a ticket for this, but there is no reply yet.
