Hi there,

I got the following error when starting (see attached gif)

I attached the logs to this post.

Any ideas on how to install Directx 9.0c on Vista ?

That error message needs to be changed. Just install the latest version of DirectX.

Google "directx vista".

DirectX 9.0c can be easily installed in Vista. In fact, some games require this operation to work.

I'm not sure if it is related to this release but i'veactivated Auto create thumbs but mtn.exe is running with a lot of CPU Usage and does NOT create any images.

This is not specific to the build.
Just kill mtn.exe twice (it will retry with other params on first failure) to see if it suceeds on the other files.
Chances are that one of your recordings is (at least a little) corrupt and cannot be read by movie thumbnailer.

Please also report if you find out that it fails on specific file types (so we can investigate / forward / blacklist)

You've answered this question yourself
Not all supported operating systems support dx10,
so to have a common installation base the latest tested directx9 version is
a requirement.

This issue it's now solved (atleast with VLC as player & same error as you saw) thx to Manfred, but you have to test this with your player when next publicbuild it's out
