Yes, I asked rtv this earlier in this thread:

@rtv:

What in config could be setting back volume settings to master?
If I edit mediaportal.xml:
<section name="volume">
<entry name="digital">yes</entry>
Then everything works fine until I run config which puts it back to "no" again

If you have the time, you could test other settings to see which one sets it back.

I didn't confirm but I think it is StreamedMP's MP-RSS Ticker plugin as I did not notice the behaivor until I enabled it. I will test more tonight if I have time.

In my case, it was the upmix to 5.1/7.1 setting in music section, that had to be unchecked.

    Hi,

    I'm currently setting up a dedicated TV-server with a W7 32-bit installation. My FireTv DVB-C is still not connected as I wait for a 10m FireWire 6-6 cable to arrive in mail. After installation of MP 1.1 beta I could access the 'Streaming server' tab with no issues. However with this SVN (and also the previous SVN) an error occur as the 'Streaming server' screen is entered. Note that I haven't any client machine connected yet, so have only tried without any clients connected.

    It looks like a common ArgumentOutOfRange exception, so I suspect that everything is fine when one or more client are connected.

    The content of error.txt is:

    2009-10-17 12:16:32.531250 [SetupTv]: Exception :confused:ystem.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Value of '0' is not valid for 'Value'. 'Value' should be between 'Minimum' and 'Maximum'.
    Parameter name: Value
    at System.Windows.Forms.NumericUpDown.set_Value(Decimal value)
    at SetupTv.Sections.StreamingServer.OnSectionActivated()
    at SetupTv.SetupTvSettingsForm.ActivateSection(SectionSettings section)

    There should properly be a [ != 0 ]-check in the OnSectionActivate event handler.

    thanks

    Start of TV failed - sometimes

    Since 1.1 i have problems while starting live tv - if the actual channel is scrambled (Sky).
    I have to cards - one with the cam. Just this card has the Sky-channels mapped.
    This SVN + Manfred's core.dll ist installed. (But this failure started with MP 1.1 Beta, 1.02 was ok.)
    This problem occurs after reboot, wake up from standby or even after using a different part of MP.
    The logs should show the problem - at 15:42 i finished watching a movie and turned tv on - the tv windows stays black and mp is frozen - log1.zip.
    The log2.zip show the status after restarting MP and turn to TV - full screen blue window...
    Any help is appriciated - because of this failure also recordings are not always done...

    A nasty bug in Mediaportal 1.1 (latest rev, and previous rev's).
    When I open a video for the first time, it works great. When the movie/video is done, and I want to select another one, I get this error:

    Unable to play: (MOVIENAME).mkv

    VIDEO CODEC: V_MPEG4/ISO/AVC
    AUDIO CODEC: DTS (or another codec)

    After this, the screen stays black (but the system works, because I can hear clicking sounds and my remote is respoding).

    So basically, I need to restart Mediaportal if I want to see another episode/movie/media file.

    I use Windows 7 Ultimate RTM (activated) and have a Ati mobility Radeon 3400HD (DXVA capable).

    This is a known problem with MPC-HC codec. Do not use MPC-HC H.264 codec under windows 7. You can use the Microsoft codec instead.

    Well, I use the MPC-HC codec for DXVA, otherwise my movies are very choppy. But good to know that Mediaportal isn't responsible for it. Guess I need to wait for a better MPC-HC codec. Or is it the way that Mediaportal use the codec and not about the actual codec? Maybe I'll try the PowerDVD codec as well.

    Changing IP address of server makes setup invalid

    Not sure how long this has been a problem.

    If the IP address of the TV-Server changes (expired DHCP, moved machine etc) - It becomes impossible to run tv-server setup without doing a clean reinstall.

    Any attempt to run TV-Server setup results in an unresponsive setup screen, with an un-populated drop-down for specifiying the Streaming server IP address. Impossible to enter anything.

    Not sure if I'm doing something really obviously wrong here!

    Otherwise, VERY stable SVN - very impressed!

    Will attach logs if relevent? - which ones! Please advise.

    I've run into this IP problem in the past. Another way around, is to load the SQL managament software, & edit the IP address in the database.

    It would be nice for the TVSetup software, to compare the IP in the database, to available IPs on local interfaces as a fail safe though.

    Thanks, I'll see if can muddle through doing that!!

    It's a bigger problem on my laptop which has a self contained client/server. When I take it from place to place, DHCP gives me a different address everytime, making it a pain..

    I would be handy if the dropdown at least gave you the option to use 127.0.0.1 as your server (or even the local netbios name / dnsname) in this situation...?

    None of this helped me. Still not getting the remote to work properly.
