aac using mpc-mpa for audio, not perfectly smooth playback, slight stutters (very small) every few seconds
aac using ffdshow for audio, plays back perfectly.
MPC audio filer doesn't seem to work properly with DTS and audio pass-thru under Win 7. It causes tons of frame drops and audio stutters on my system. Guess the one that comes with MP needs an update...

Previously I had similar dropped frames + stutter problem with MPC Audio Filter
This was MP1.0.2 + 720P mkv with DTS inside, using XP with SPDIF passthorugh.
Problem solved with ffdshow or ac3filter being used instead.
Another advantage of ffdshow audio is that it handles 5.1 AAC properly. Monogram AAC can't do 5.1 channel order properly over SPDIF, you end up with the audio channels being sent to the wrong speakers.

But the big problem is that my computer now does not wake up (from standby, using power scheduler) for recordings. Not one single time. I've missed all scheduled recordings after this upgrade. Recording with computer/MP already running works fine. I just can't understand that nobody else seems to have this problem? I kept my previous config (including recording schedules) through SVN upgrade, could that cause a problem with wakeup?
I'm still surprised noone seems to experience the same wakeup problem I've got with this SVN. I've now tried deleting and replacing all old recording schedules but the computer still does not wake up by itself. Recording works perfectly fine if I leave it running. Automatic standby/manual wakeup also works in any other aspect.

    Hi,
    same here:
2009-12-13 14:46:45.859375 [Powerscheduler Suspender]: PowerScheduler: Source: ; shutdown is allowed True ; forced: False
2009-12-13 14:46:45.859375 [Powerscheduler Suspender]: PowerScheduler: SetWakeupTimer
2009-12-13 14:46:45.859375 [Powerscheduler Suspender]: PowerScheduler: Warning WakeupEnabled is not set.

will post logs and setup soon.
    regards,
    Ruud.

Found another problem - not shure if it is introduced by new tv guide or not. If you view the imdb data and you want to go to last screen - you're not at the last position in tvguide.

    Two another problems occured:
because the internal Mediaportal Client isn't 100% perfectly working, I tried to use VLC instead as external player. But when I set it up in the settings menu, the setting is gone, after I press ok. Mediaportal always uses the internal one.
Second prob: when i set up films to record with the scheduler, mediaportal does the first recording. The following recordings in the timer are gone. When I look them up the next day in the timer menu, the menu is empty.

edit: this happens on every of my two systems...

    Check
TvServer->Power Scheduler Plugin->Wakeup server for various events.

    Check
TvServer->Power Scheduler Plugin->Wakeup server for various events.

It's that simple ;), I switched this of because my PC after going into hybernation directly switched on again (the cause of this was not this setting). Never linked the description of this setting to waking up for recordings.... although a recording could also be classified as a various event.

    Thanks, it worked!

    regards,
    Ruud.

Maybe it should say something like "Wakeup server for various events (recordings etc)" or something similar to avoid confusions like this..
