Installed the new SVN (upgraded from previous SVN). Now EPG doesn't work properly (I'm using xmltv and it seems to import fine) - When clicking the OK button, I can see the program showing now and next program, but the EPG doesn't show anything :( (this worked fine in the previous SVN). See screenshots attached.
Delete the skin folder within the cache folder and restart. Should solve this

Of course, should have thought of that - I'll try that when I get home - thanks! :)

Also, MP tends to crash once in a while when I press the STOP button to stop TV from the main menu (log file attached). I then need to kill MediaPortal using Task manager, restart and it works again.

My MP hangs/freezes (hard, not always possible to bring task manager window up) the very same way when stopping live TV while at home/main menu. And my log also ends at the same point, see attached file.

    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/mediaportal-1-1-0-beta-1-454/freezing-stopping-video-73162/

appears there is an issue introduced in last few SVNs (wont have time to try and figure out which for several days :sorry:) with stopping a video whilst it is in the mini-player and using VMR9.

A problem with exclusive mode not being reset?

I'll try this, but a lot of the time alt-entering while playing back video makes things unhappy.

Run MP in windowed mode. Video playback works with EVR (in Vista / Windows 7) as good in the windowed mode as it will work in full screen mode as there is no actual difference.

    Here's something for you

    windowed mode
    disabled dynamic refresh
played 24p video while running at 60hz
    changed to 24hz
    video played smooth

    windowed mode
    enabled dynamic refresh
played 24p video while running at 60hz
    refresh rate changes to 24hz
    video stutters
move mediaportal window, video instantly plays smooth.

Confirm what? nyt said that following works ok:

    1) start MP
    2) change to desired refresh rate
    3) play video clip
    4) change to next desired refresh rate
    5) play next clip...

Basicly doing manually the refresh rate changer's job. Rebooting doesn't fit into that at all.

My guess is that something within RR handling of the change of the refreshrate is causing the stutter, as this effect also happens when you use 12noon via RR activity field.
Maybe somebody can check with a different tool to be started by RR if this happens as well? (I have only 12noon)

    Cheers,

this problem is already present in previous 2 svns
it seems mp looses focus sometimes when changing refreshrate to 24 or 23hz and that windows 7 gives less video capacity to the not focused window ?

I'm not so sure about that. I just retested this in windowed mode, and it was stuttering while the window had focus.

Also, I cannot reliably reproduce the stutter when the default system refresh rate is set to 50hz and the default dynamic refresh rate changer set to 50hz. This isn't ideal for me, but seems to be sort of a band-aid in the mean time.

Hopefully these tests have helped. If there is anything I can test please let me know.

First of all thanks for this SVN!

Is that right, that in TV or Video only the same codec could be selected in MPEG and h.264?

I want to choose PDVD9 for MPEG and Window7-HD-Codec in h.264! But MP-Config sets both of the Codecs to either PDVD9 or Windows7-Codecs?!?

Not possible to select another codec with MS codec because of incompatibility of last one

you mean when windows refreshr ate =50 and default refresh rate is 50 in rr changer it doesnt happen ?

i have those settings but in my case it happens with these settings 9default rr changer refresh rate = tv which = 50hz

But the status is "resolved"... Is the resolution of this problem to prevent the selection?!?

Or is the fix not in this SVN?
