Installed the new SVN (upgraded from previous SVN). Now EPG doesn't work properly (I'm using xmltv and it seems to import fine) - When clicking the OK button, I can see the program showing now and next program, but the EPG doesn't show anything :( (this worked fine in the previous SVN). See screenshots attached.

Also, MP tends to crash once in a while when I press the STOP button to stop TV from the main menu (log file attached). I then need to kill MediaPortal using Task manager, restart and it works again.

(I'm Using IPTV, and running the TV Server as a seperate PC)

Regards

My MP hangs/freezes (hard, not always possible to bring task manager window up) the very same way when stopping live TV while at home/main menu. And my log also ends at the same point, see attached file.

But the big problem is that my computer now does not wake up (from standby, using power scheduler) for recordings. Not one single time. I've missed all scheduled recordings after this upgrade. Recording with computer/MP already running works fine. I just can't understand that nobody else seems to have this problem? I kept my previous config (including recording schedules) through SVN upgrade, could that cause a problem with wakeup?

I noticed that when I press pause while watching a DVD, the timeline is ok, but the label shows the first TV channel name and not the DVD name. I am using the Blue3 4:3 skin.

I also have the same problem described by others when pressing stop for live TV at home/main menu. MP freezes and I need to reboot, or kill MP in task manager. I am using Windows XP Sp3 with client and server on the same machine.

A lot of improvements in this SVN, thank you!!

However I still see some bugs:

    1. With episodes activated, the folder shows the attribute of the last file (?) written to it. Not sure if this is by design.

    2. Episode description is missing from the scheduled recordings main line. There is plenty of empty space plus you could do your usual scrolling.

    3. This was reported before, but I can still see the bug on my end: Sort by Size is not working, see the attached pictur with GB, KB, MB absolutely out of file size sequence.

    4. Scheduled recordings are no longer shown in red in the programming guide.

<tourettes> nyt, plese do a test
    <tourettes> 1) start MP
<tourettes> 2) change refresh rate from ATI/nvidia control panel
    <tourettes> 3) play video clicp
<tourettes> repeat few hundred times and tell if the stuttering is still there
    <tourettes> later have to go...

with dynamic refresh disabled, and changing the refresh rate manually after mediaportal is opened, video playback is smooth. the choppy video only happens after an automatic change done by the dynamic refresh code.

I can confirm that - at the moment I even have to go as far as to change the refresh rate, reboot, then open MP and it plays smooth (ATI CCC 9.10).

Confirm what? nyt said that following works ok:

    1) start MP
    2) change to desired refresh rate
    3) play video clip
    4) change to next desired refresh rate
    5) play next clip...

Basicly doing manually the refresh rate changer's job. Rebooting doesn't fit into that at all.

My guess is that something within RR handling of the change of the refreshrate is causing the stutter, as this effect also happens when you use 12noon via RR activity field.
Maybe somebody can check with a different tool to be started by RR if this happens as well? (I have only 12noon)

    Cheers,

    Yep.

And the next test would be following:

    1) start MP
    2) play video clip
    3) change to desired refresh rate DURING video playback (note this works only with Vista and Windows 7)
    ...

And repeat that for multiple, different refresh rate videos.

I'll try this, but a lot of the time alt-entering while playing back video makes things unhappy.

Run MP in windowed mode. Video playback works with EVR (in Vista / Windows 7) as good in the windowed mode as it will work in full screen mode as there is no actual difference.
