Hi.
I've tested this SVN now a bit on my Server - Client environment and I can confirm some issues other has posted here.
After playback a rercorded TV Show MP crashes everytime I press the "Stop" button.

Logs attached.
If I watch those recordings via MyVideos all went well. This crash only happens if I watch those in MyTV.

When switching channels (Live- TV) between different cards (analogue to DVB-T and vice versa) MP crashes everytime too. Changing channels on the same card works.

I also have the same problem when pressing the Stop button while watching a recorded TV-Show in MyTV, MP crashes. I have the same on 3 different Pc's. No error.log is created.

First of all, many thanks for new program icons and making different icons for Configuration.exe, SetupTv.exe and MediaPortal.exe. This was asked for long time ago and I even lost hope. Conclusion: developers always listen, they just prioritize things! :)

Another requested feature is half done: big step forward/backward produces OSD in TV only, nothing in Videos yet.

How about OSD timeout on Pause instead of keeping it permanently on the screen, same as OSD on big steps?

Thanks again for your hard work and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

The only issues I have is a tiny amount of what I think is called "micro-stuttering" in live TV or playback. About every second or two a tiny stutter in the video. Audio stays smooth. And the stutter is so brief that I barely can see it anymore.
Same here (currently with the powerdvd9 codec in HD). I believe it has something to do with an option in configuration (something you have to check to decrease stutter). This option can be checked or unchecked but this SVN doesn't do anything with it. I've read this somewhere in this forum but I cannot find the post anymore. I guess it will be fixed in the final code.

found it... the TsReader options: Don't drop discontinued packets in TsReader (can reduce stuttering). I think it was Tourettes that mentioned it somewhere around here that this configuration options doesn't do anything in this SVN.

Since no-one else mentioned similar issues, am I the only one with DVB-T problem as described in https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...a-1-454/dvb-t-cannot-tuned-second-time-75329/ ?

My DVB-C card works flawless. But for DVB-T to work, I need to restart TVservice for every channel-change, recording, or normal timeshifting. Even for timeshifting through TV server configuration.

Edit: after installing the Pinnaclesys driver instead of the MS driver (and after insisiting a lot to "downgrade" the driver), my issue is solved. I am now back to being a 100% perfectly happy user as usual :)

New Edit: still an issue, see previous link

i still have the stutter after changing to 24hz with refreshrate changer.

i also have occasionally dvds that are being detected as 23.976 hz while in the ifo it cleary staes 30zhz (dont think there are any 23.976 hz dvds)
i have this issue since previous svn.

    2009-12-27 21:27:18.213121 [Info.][MPMain]: RefreshRateChanger.AdaptRefreshRate: framerate on file d:\films\the blind side\VIDEO_TS\VIDEO_TS.IFO is 23,976

does nobody else have the problem that dvds are sometimes detected with e refreshrate of 23.976 ?

^ Just one word: SAF (codecs especially setup for MP)

unlocked SAF didn't do the trick for me :( ... Don't know why, but I seem to recall that arcsoft has been the only decoder that I've sucessfully decoded using dxva on my nvidia ION system in MP 1.1 beta...

    AW: Re: AW: MediaPortal SVN-Snapshot:-12-24-2009 16-14h - Revision:24553.rar

Hi, I have a minor issue:
When updating an installation that uses a modified mediaportaldirs.xml (pointing to nondefault directory for skins and DBs), this file will be replaced by the standardfile - this causes afterwards crashing in configuration.exe (because of missing files in default config dir).
An update should not overwrite the configuration (while a new/full install should) - or at least give a hint instead of crashing afterwards.
I know it's not a critical thing - at least because SVNs are no "normal releases" - just wanted to report it.

If you use a custom mediaportaldirs.xml it must be located in mydocs.
    1. Go to your My Documents folder
    2. Create folder "Team MediaPortal"
    3. Put custom mediaportaldirs.xml there

You can also look at your installation log file for hints if this is working or not.

I tried putting the files in the config dir where the rest of MP config files are - this is not working. So you mean putting it not under "all users" but having another directory under "username"?
