Did you install the daemon-tools? MP needs them to mount the .iso files. More info about configuring MP could be found also here.

When setting up the plugin, on the DVD tab, there is a text box which is for "Mencoder AVI:" - Which file or what file am i suppsed to browse and find? must i browse to the Mencoder.exe or Mencoder264.exe?

Can anyone confirm succes with DVDFab HD Decrypter 6.0.1.0 ?
It seems to be working fine.

I cannot find any valid source to download 5.0.9.0. The downloads are fake (they contain the full dvdfab trial version, instead of the free one) or want to install installer.exe and toolbars first).

Also a few (perhaps stupid) questions. Why not use xvid encoder instead of mencoder?
Or why not use a tool like StaxRip or Handbrake in the background, so that this plugin only has to do some simple controls and view the status? No hassle with encoders etc.

Hello,

i tried to use MediaSlayer with Mencoder for DVD ripping but nothing happens! I start ripping and it says:"Disc analysing...", then nothing more.
I installed Mencoder, MPlayer and codecs and set up in MediaSlayer config with online decrypter checked.

What procedure i must respect? Maybe i missed something.

Mediaslayer is not giving me alot to go on....I have mencoder.exe stored in a dir and the config is pointing to it...is mplayer.exe actually needed as part of process?

Thanks, now it's better but i have this error message: "Ripping failed! Mencoder #1 pass error!".

Any suggestion?

Is the author still monitoring? I already verified that C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Skin\Xface\dialogProgress.xml is present. I am using xface skin but I copied the support files from monochrome over and it's worked fine for ripping music etc up to date.

AnyDVD installed? Most probably some kind of a protection prevents ripping.

Same error with B3W. DVD43 running in background and "green" to indicate copy protection disabled. Mencoder in c:\btvutils and config pointing to it. Log file attached.
