Had a quick look at StreamedMP, I like MediaStream better for it's main menu, MovingPictures is kinda a tie (slight advantage for MediaStream), but I REALLY like their TVSeries better than MediaStream (no offense). You just have a better overview. MediaStream has better out of the box support for plugins though

Not too fond of their main menu... I like the flow and layout of MediaStream MUCH better. Like you said, both have done great jobs getting this skin out, I just prefer MediaStream over Stream MP...

I see the MyHome.xml generator now works in IE7, but it still makes the mp videos default, instead of MovingPictures which I entered first. I also have a bug in MyTV-Series, but I don't know if it's skin related. The first time I enter my series, I see the banners, but no text. When I enter a serie and then go back, the text is there.

I tested both versions and I must say I like yours more. The only thing I`m not so happy with, is the EPG timeline. There are not many channels to see and the colur doesnt fit to the skin I think.

Again have to say I prefer this of the 2 mediastream ports! Only thing I think is better in the other one is their Moving pictures with fanart more prominent. Would be nice to have filmstrip view without the cover appearing twice?

I don't like the fact that half of the strip is covered by movie info in StreamedMP, so personally I think Pilehaves is better. I think that Pilehave's skin should be listed in HOT skins by the way. I don't think it's fair that StreamedMP is listed and Mediastream isn't. He was the first one who brought his skin out and he should get more credit for it I think.

Finaly! Much cred for doing this!
I abandoned XBMC + mediastream skin because of the lack of being able to play movies correctly.
And i abandoned Media Portal since there was no skin that was even close to Mediastream. But soon there is!

I definitly like that you´ve tried to just copy the skin, with the MediaPortal funtionality of course, because I think the skin (for XBMC) is almost perfect the way it is. I did not like the StreamedMP-skin very much since first of all the main menu did not have the smooth animative style that the "real" one and yours´ does have.

He may deserve a sub-forum - but not on the basis of being "first". Being "First" doesnt mean anything, StreamedMP could have been released "first" if they had not created the installer, and spent so much time looking for bugs etc. It will be interesting to see what happens with 2 nearly identical skins.

Maybe a SubForum for MediaStream, with any MediaStream/MediaStream mods in there.

Maybe they should all join up and make one super version

At least with two versions, there is less chance of the skin dying liek many have in the past!
