Thanks for the update pilehave!

One small problem, I have tried a few times to create a new myHome.xml file with no success. The new one created will cause a problem when I am watching live tv & hit the home button (the green button)...The screen does not shrink to the small window and stays full screen therefor hiding the home menu. Have you seen this?

For now I am using the myHome.xml packaged...Thanks!

I just started seriously playing with this awesome skin! I have some feedback for ya:

- I used your myHome.xml editor. Seems to work pretty good but I noticed that when I had 7 items in MyHome the selected button will not be the middle one but the one above that. Fixed t by having 6 items
- I have My Films installed (latest) and tried it out in MediaStream. MP Crashes when entering My Films in MediaStream (it doesn't in blue3 and aeon). I see the list getting populated but after that it crashes, see log attached

Finally I have edited some of your work. I made the black gradient menu background to have some transparency. I like all things transparant And this way my fanart looks a little better. Also did some work on the menu's (extra, music, watch). See screens attached

Looks good with the left menu a tiny bit transparent, and you used the perfect amount, i did it for myself now too

(i used 92% layer opacity in Photoshop)

It seems that I by mistake left out the overlay-file from myHome, the generator should work now, but if you want to add the overlay manually you will need to change

<import>common.time.xml</import>

to

<import>common.time.xml</import>
<import>common.home.overlay.xml</import>

Do a double check if you have the needed files for overlay to work, you'll need common.overlay.xml and common.home.overlay.xml in your skin-folder.

If you want to jump to another window from the home-menu, you should set the wanted ID for GUIDE in the menu-generator, or manually edit myHome.xml and find

<hyperlink>1</hyperlink>
and
<hyperlink>30</hyperlink>

and replace it with

<hyperlink>600</hyperlink>

The above is the ID on the file mytvguide.xml, change the ID to the window you want.

Was going at it again. Just tweaked TvSeries a bit. Sometimes I get a bit confused with the tiled layout of tvseries, I like it better when it's top down, so that's what I did. See screen.

Nice! Great to see so many different views, just shows how great a plugin MP TV-Series is, and you can tweak it just the way you want

Maybe an idea to start a tv series skin thread as a subthread (that is when MediaStream gets it's own subforum)? So people can cherry pick the view they like?
Maybe not only tv series but just a general one for community skin bits?
I would like that.

p.s.
You don't have to ask when you want to grab some of my skinfiles and adjust them a bit to integrate them with the skin. Maybe a "contributor" section would be nice where some of the people here doing there own skinning for this skin get's mentioned or something. Not expecting anything, just a suggestion!

How DO you edit the tv series interface in an easy way? I'd like to have a view more similar to Monochrome or StreamedMP. I have the 3 row version posted earlier in this thread now, but it still doesn't feel right to me.

I also still have the issue that Mediaportal starts with a section highlighted I hardly ever use (the 90001 id thingie).
I'd love to change it so MovingPictures is the main item, but every time I generate a new MyHome.xml, the blasted item I never use is the primary.

Well, MP-TV Series XML-code is...hairy. I agree on that, but it should be rather easy to use code from one of the other skins, and then just modify images and fonts to fit the current.

Which view are you missing? Perhaps I'll do it

If you use the menu-generator it SHOULD make the item you enter FIRST the "chosen one". Now, I'm not saying that there are no bugs in it, but just to confirm how to do it
