I updated the dll a few times after I first posted the new skin, could you try the newest dll again from https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...5918-mediastream-pilehave-mediastream-dll.zip

I just tested on a fresh install here and doesn't get an exception, but perhaps a screenshot and/ore a copy of the exception-text will help me in fixing the problem.

When I copied the MediaStream.dll and I was asked for overwriting I had a file with same date/time and size already.

seems to work fine on my test system now. Thanks.

One thing I can't get to work: I want my TV as the default plugin (should be pre selected when I start MediaPortal). So I moved it on top of the list of the generator. But the My PlugIns plugin is always the first.

I am on RC2.

After moving the item to the top, did you press "Save" (window closes) and then "OK" in the MP Config-window?

Settings are only saved if you press OK there.

You can check the content of the file "MediaStream.xml" which is located in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal (well, at least on XP, on Vista it's somewhere else...). Here the topmost item should be started on the home-screen.

By plugin listing, do you mean the list on the left side in the MediaStrem-generator, or the RSS-Ticker in the main MP Config screen?

Some improvement suggestions for the myhome.xml creation:
If you fill out the prefix+item name before you try to choose an .xml to link it to, your chosen prefix+item name disappear.
Would be nice to choose folders/paths for background/hover pics to have multiimage
