Some improvement suggestions for the myhome.xml creation:
If you fill out the prefix+item name before you try to choose an .xml to link it to, your chosen prefix+item name disappear.
Would be nice to choose folders/paths for background/hover pics to have multiimage

I agree on the problem in text dissapearing, I'll change that behaviour soon.

About the multiimage...I don really use them myself, but do you use a different folder for each menu-item? And do they just loop?

Haven't had time to try it yet with your skin. When you first released it I had much issues with the TV-Series view, so I jumped on the StreamedMP band wagon and that's what I have going on in that myhome.xml without problems. But now I'm back here, testin' and festin'. So I'm gonna give it a shot later today. Alone at home with two crazy kids right now.

Yes, I mean the listing on the left side of the generator. I didn't find the News PlugIn.

I'm doing something wrong, but I don't know what. I've copied the new myHome.xml to my skins\MediaStream Folder and the new .dll to my process folder. I've editted a new menu and when I restart the Mediaportal config, it shows what I've set up, but when I start MediaPortal I get a black screen with #prefix Up1 and #prefix up2 etc etc.

Edit: Nevermind ... I've installed the complete v6 version of the skin and now it works fine. I have ONE small issue with moving pictures, though, and I was wondering if anyone has this too. When I enter moving pictures, my first movies should be 10.000 BC, but it always starts with Appleseed which is not my first movie that starts with an A by the way.

The built-in news-plugin is called myrss.xml, perhaps that's the one you're looking for?

Same problem here, first movie should be [rec] but is instead "Indiana Jones...".
Moving Pictures had also assigned 20+ covers from other movies to [rec].

I do have a similar problem.
When i first start moving pictures the details of the first movie (10.000BC) is shown but with the backdrop of Hitman. Additonally when a movie's finished movingpictures showes the details of 10.000BC, but the backdrop of the one that's just finished.

And I do have a problem with mp-tvseries. When I first start this plugin no details are shown, only the fanart and the filmstrip covers. If I get back to the main menu and start it again everything is back to normal.

The more I see, the more I like

One issue around the plugins menu. After hitting the Use Plugins menu item on MyHome, I get a screen with a list of plugins down the centre, and the active selection is actually the next item scrolled off screen, if you understand. Would take a screenie, but MediaPortal is on a secondary display.

Am I doing something silly (probably), or does no-one else use plugins in this way (less likely)?
