I think so, although I haven't tested. Anyway, it's pretty much safe to test it out, you can always rename the downloaded skin to something like "Mediastream new test". That way you won't have to owerwrite anything.

The MediaStream.dll included in the earlier versions will only work if you change the <defaultcontrol>90001</defaultcontrol> to <defaultcontrol></defaultcontrol>, and only in RC2 or RC3.

MediaStream.dll is not included in the newest download, but earlier versions are available, just change the download-url to v3 or v2

A simple feature that I miss since I switched to this skin,

When pressing (i for information) on my remote, in the old Blue3 skin you could always see the current time, even if you watch video etc, thats gone in MediaStream, any tips how to get it back?

Hi Pilehave,

thanks for the new release! Couple of questions though, in my moving pictures screen below you can see that the dvd cover is hidden by the icon view, should the cover be moved somewhere visable? Also although the movie description scrolls the movie title doesn't. Finally not sure if it's only me that has this problem but if you look carefully the font has tiny artifacts on it that make it look a bit strange, this only happens in the detail view in Moving Pictures and TV Series. Any ideas?

True, thanks for pointing out these mistakes I'll have the skin updated tomorrow.

The artifacts are tricky. I have seen them in other threads too, I think it's some kind of graphics mishap with certain font-types. I don't have them on my XP or Vista machines so can't really find out what happens

Still have another question though, I've entered a default control but now MediaPortal doesn't show a background image for that default menu item. Can I add this? I've made MovingPictures my default (94001 in my case, although it was the first item I entered in the generator) and it does startup with this item and goes to this item whenever I go back to the main menu, but when it enters the main menu, the background stays black. If I move up and down, the background does appear.

Can any one concur this in RC4?

The background is easy to change. If you mean in the main menu, it's in MyHome.xml if it's in my weather itself, edit that .xml file.

For internationalization reasons, it'd be better to use string language ID instead of labels. For example put 100001 instead of TV, 100002 as Picture...
So each foreign user get the local text instead of english one.
Of course, we can change it into the xml file but not so easy to identify all entries...
