u welcome. glad you got it fixed. what os has that fucked up installation ? since my vista i can install via the drop down menu, and xp i can just drag and drop it

XP MCE SP3. Maybe SP3 is the cause, because ISTR doing it successfully with DnD earlier.

I'm trying out this skin - it's very nice.

In the configuration, I chose Pictures from the Home menu and then tried to choose a background image - pictures_bg. The choice doesn't stick. In other words, when I click on Movies, then click back on Pictures, the image selection is gone. If I choose the grass_bg which is a jpg, it's fine.

Does the background images only work with JPGs?

When changing the background image for a already existing menu-item, you must press the UPDATE button each time. The background-image can be jpeg, png, gif (not recommended) or bmp.

Not sure if you wish to use it but I created a no cover art image for meedio a while ago and I just added it to mediastream skin as i never really liked the default one (no offence). I have attached the png and a screenshot of it

looks good. dont you have the psd file for it. Think its of no use if the font is off the rest of the layout. no offence

Anyone know what file I can edit to remove the top left little window that shows what video you are currently playing?

If you look at the image from beginning part of this forum (I copied the link), it shows slightly transparent window in top left corner which shows what you are playing. I mainly want to get rid of that window while playing my vidoes.

Another thing I was interested in editing is the color of the text. If you look at that same image, you can see that the text is gray color except for the selected file. How could I change the color so everything is white, not gray.

So do you want the same image just with the wording changed? or smaller shaped cd case with same wording?
