I would try a latest CVS and see if these problems still remain. I know that the blotchy text has most likely been resolved, and there was some memory leak/race condition fixing done (related to xmltv I think?) as well to lower memory usage.

@CyberSimian Sorry, I missed your last post. I ended up doing a clean install on the client and all is well now. It still doesn't let me go back in time when I change channels but it does continue operating from that point on. I'm ok with that. Thanks for your help!
