Ive marked in Black where the issue is, there im waiting 59 seconds before series start to play :(
It happens only on some MKV, files it seems, and that's strange also, others that dont take long are on same drive..
If i play them not via MePo, they play instantly, media player, or vlc or mediaplayer calssic

Ive been using MePo for a long long time, and this has been an issue thats gotten worse and worse, not its just really annoying, and i anted to see if i can fix it..
    Anyone have any ideas??

    thanks...

I don't know the cause of your problem (or the solution :(), but I just wanted to mention that another user has reported a similar problem, in his case with Xvid/Divx files. See this thread.

    Thanks for the info.. :)

??Question, are you running a 32 or 64 bit windows where your MePo runs??
Im thinking about if this make be a solution, to take the 32 bit MediaInfo.dll and put it in a folder called x86, maybe that one dont have problem

I am currently using MP 1.25 on 64-bit Windows 7. Prior to that, I used 32-bit Windows 7, and prior to that I used 32-bit Windows Vista (with older versions of MP, of course). On none of those setups have I encountered the problem that you describe.

Remember that 64-bit Windows can run 32-bit programs without problem, although possibly not mixing them within the same application (I don't know whether that is a problem here).

Just for info: mediaportal is still a 32bit application (due to lots of low-level c-code).
It runs perfectly fine on a 64bit windows, but MP can't handle 64bit dlls.
I used (or maybe still) have issues like that with dvd-folders. apparently mediainfo scanned all vob-files to get it's info.
Another thing that might be happening is that the disk that the media is on needed to spinup due to powermanagement. (Had this too myself and despite fiddling with all possible settings, the disks still were put to sleep after a while... had to continuosly run a tool that reads a bit of data of that disk to keep it awake...)

I have disk spin-down disabled in the active power plan, and I have not noticed any delays accessing my "Videos" folder (which is on a disk separate from the disk containing MP and the OS). This is using Windows 7 as the OS. However...

I have noticed that some USB disks have a mind of their own, and will spin down whenever they feel like it, regardless of the setting in the power plan. All of the disks connected to my HTPC are internal SATA disks (plus NAS for longer-term storage). I don't use any USB disks in my current setup.

Okay, then why this warning, seems the dll is then in the wrong location, or is the dll maybe 64 bit, and should be a 32 bit?
    " [2020-08-15 23:14:49,068] [Log ] [MPMain ] [WARN ] - Library MediaInfo.dll was not found at .\x86 "

I have no disk spinn down, i can open 10 files in a rom, they will all take 55 seconds to open
I can delete the dll, and things open right away, but then MePo crash..

100% the DLL that has an issue :/

don't worry for this, because, mediainfo wrapper try to search mediainfo in many location, and start by x86 or x64 depends sofware, and the final search is root of soft ( what we use )
