Also willl compose some logs today to deal with the EQ DVD crash thing :)

    Hi Simone,

Upgraded to V7.61.0522 of Imon today. All still working fine.

One ongoing problem I have always had with my remote is the repeating key issue. It was raised here:

    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/general-support-51/bizarre-command-repeat-issue-54079/

I can replicate the problem, particularly with the esc and enter keys, which I use religiously to navigate in MP. If you point the remote so that is somewhere near the edge of the receiver's "angle of vision" (ie just on the border of where it works and where it does not), and keep slowly pressing the ESC or enter key, it will eventually stick and keep repeating until you press the key again.

The thread above suggests that by using dual key combinations (eg CTRL-P) you can avoid this. But the problem is you can't remap some of the keys, particularly ESC and Enter. It was suggested older versions of imon did allow you to remap these keys as well. Any possibility we can ask Soundgraph to unlock these keys in their config so that they can be modified to overcome this repeat issue?

I think the problem you are describing is not related to software but rather to the way the iMon remote works. Most remotes send a code when a key is pressed and then keep sending that code until the key is released.

The iMon remote works more like PC keyboards: it sends a "make" code when the key is pressed and then it sends a "break" code when the key is released (for most keys it also sends additional "make" codes in between). Until a break code is received for a key, the receiver knows that the key is still pressed. That is how you can click and drag with your remote. The problem with this is that if the break code is lost (e.g. the remote is outside the receiver's angle of view when the break code is sent), the receiver thinks the key is still pressed. Hence the problem you describe.

This drawback could be circumvented in the firmware by assuming that the break code was lost if no make or break codes for the key is received within a timeout period. This will not work for all keys because some keys don't send additional make codes until they are released (e.g. the left and right mouse button keys are don't).

I hope this clears it out.;)

    Hello to every one!

I'd like to know what should I expect of this alpha version ? I just installed it. The remote works flawlessly but the display isn't refreshed with MP datas... It's show the keys I press on the remote that's all...

Is it the regular behavior ?

    Cheers for answering,

    M

Can somebody answer my question please ??:D

Tried the imon driver, it seems to work. No strange behaviour. Only the ac3/dts icons do not show. mp3 icon works.

    Hi,

i have tried the patch but it doesn´t work.
I have disabled the FrontView Player.
In the setup of the patch i have chosen the Plugin "...VFD/LCD v20_05_2009..." and for "Port" i selected "USB"
Then i clicked on "Test Display" but nothing happened. The "OK" Button was always disabled.

Does the patch work with my Touchscreen?

No, it only works with the imon VFD / LCD, as it says.

Hang on, so this plugin will NOT work with this version of LCD?!
That's a shame... any chance of making it work?
