I said at first it worked and it did untill I did a reboot of my server. After that the same error came up. In the thread specified below is stated that in the latest svn build there will be a specific option for the timeout of scrambled channels. Hopefully this will fix it.
Wel for me it works now, also after various reboot....
TVEngine3 Snapshot: 12-26-2007 01-08h Revision 16735
MediaPortal SVN-Snapshot: 12-26-2007 01-04h - Revision:16735
strange, I had that error myself yesterday.
All is good now though, so I guess it was an issue with the TV service or sql or sql browser, as Arn said above.
It happened on my test machine, which gets played around with a lot.
I'm going to change the status to fixed for this one. Let me know if anything else pops up though.
If after reboots, things don't work anymore as you expect, double check the following:
-use static ip-adress for your server (don't use DHCP)
-use the server ip-adress in the config section of tv-client in stead of server-name
-when first time starting tv-server config program, change the server from : 'servername\sqlinstance' to 'serverip\sqlinstance'. This is important because this will save the connectionstring by ip-address in stead of server name
and last, but not least:
-make sure startup-type of SQL-Browser service is set to automatic!!!!
Hi im getting the same error when I install the new nighty TV-Plugin from SVN. It works once I go back to an earlier build. Im using mediaportal 2.3 stable.
