If you attach your logs then devs etc. can know for sure what the problem is.

Here is the log of two problems:

First DVDs from HDD don't play
second: the mkv file does not play

(I configured everything the way mentioned)

hope someone can give me a hint.

Try to install last version of vsfilter (directvobsub) then configure it to (never load) on the first tab and check MOD32 fix option under general tab. Then set in haali media splitter AUTOLOAD SV FILTER (first option).

I've solved!

Installing vsfilter solved the problem. I coudln't figure out how to configure it to change those options, but I set it to autoload in Haali and it's working great now.

Kind of an old thread to bump but thought i would thank Freakin for the suggestion to go into the Haali settings and set vsfilter to autoload... 'yes'.

I was having the exact same problem where some files would play in MP and others wouldn't -- all files would play in WMP.
