Trevor,

I used your basic home generator and it is working fine. However, I have a small problem.. The 5 day weather is showing on all my buttons (movies, music, Series, pictures)

I want it to show only when I navigate to weather. Is it possible?

Thought I had fixed that, will have another look as would seem not.

And where should I point the weather background in your generator..? should I just type in "weather"..?

One more thing I noticed.. when I change the Y position of basic home, infoservice button doesnt comply with the menu... It just stays there at 433...

That is my fault, did just add that at the last min as did not like just a blank bar and never coded it to pay attention to the y pos, will fix when I get back home - Thu/Fri for an update.

I attached my basichome.xml so you could poke around it and check for flaws..

Trevor, would it maybe possible to build a version of your wonderful editor which outputs a BasicHome without the detailed 5 day forecast but only with the small bar of todays weather? Would be much appriciated!

Will look at that - you thinking the small bar to be displayed permanently, say attached above the menu bar?

Yes indeed. A small bar displaying for instance the temperature and f.e. "Sunny" together with a little icon: clean but functional. Always visible in the top right or something.

thanks trevor the new basic home editor works very well, I don't have the prob of the weather on all options, only showing as it should be on the weather selection.

A while back you suggested pulling this together into a new thread, it might be worth doing this, as a noob would have to hunt through this thread for the skin files etc.

Maybe take vergo's first post update it and use it as the start of the new thread and keep it updated (with all files needed, your editor, link to mpinfoservice, aeon moving pic mod etc) as opposed to various fixes posted in this thread?

I suspect you'd be the best person to take ownership of the new thread as you seem to be the most active!

Ok, will mod the editor with this as an option.

The plan is to create a new thread but going to have to go and clean up all my old uploads as run out of space to upload stuff here (well almost - there is 38MB of it dotted around!)

New AeonMod Editor version

Thought I would get this version out before I go on my upload clean up and new thread creation.

This version contains the additions requested by Henkie Flits, you now have the choice of full weather, summary, both or none.

Also fixed the issue Dullie rasied about the Infoservice having a fixed Y pos.

You will need to load and re-save your current menu file first as new items and specific layout changes are written to the new file.
