Guzzi... your the man. Thank you so mutch. But now i have another little problem.^^ I can't read anything with this and it also works only for dark fanarts. Are there any option that i have to change it to make it work correctly?

Sorry, I probably can't help you with that - if you completely want to revert to your former tvseries take a backupcopy of the tvseries DB to make sure, no settings have been altered (tvseries stores a lot of settings in the db itself). Or ask someone to update the fanartview for new tvseries version ;-) I have no skinning knowledge and thus can't do that ... sorry

Anyone got any info on if it's possible to skin the TV guide to show recorded shows with a red background like with the default skins rather than the red circles to the right of the name?

Edit Well I tried copying all the tvguide_rec*.png from bluetwo wide and it works. The recorded program shows up with a red background. I'm amazed.

Runnning MP & this skin on my pioneer kuro at (near) native res makes for a classy interface.

Hi. It's me again. Maybe i make my request not clear enough. Is there a possibility to get the previous version (monochrom 2.4) back please?

I was a bit like you when I first updated to 2.5. But after some modification (like getting rid of TVSeriesSkinSetting, chaning the logos, choosing widebanners as series view and making own logos- and formattingrules) I find 2.5 even more beautiful. I suggest you take a look into this before you change... believe you me, it's better than you think.

Hrm.. I don't like the new TV series look either, I'm dying to go back to the "old" ListPosters view like:

- is there no way to change back to this?

Also, I'm not able to change the series view to widebanners, I can select it, but when I leave the MPTV Series config, it's not saved?

I'm using the newest stable MPTV Series.

This can only be changed in the TvSeries.Settings.xml in your Monochrome\Indigo folder. You can see this post for more info.

I can't seem to go back to the old ListPosters views in any way, well.. the main reason I don't really like the new TV Series layout is the lack of simplicity I loved in the old skin.. I'm sitting about 5 meters away from my 32" LCD TV and everything's hard to read from this distance. I'm not using the default font as it's too hard to read from this distance, and the TV Series skin has some really nasty glitches when using the non-standard font.

This could be solved by allowing me to remove everything besides the name of the show/episode - I don't really care for seeing no. of episodes, file format, airdate, etc. .. is there really no way to customize this?


On another note, I assume this has already been noted somewhere, but the configuration > General > Skin doesn't work in 2.5 .. I can't switch skin without going into the MP configuration tool...

Thanks anyway, I still love this skin, if it wasn't for those annoying changes in the TV Series plugin...

A 1.0 Final skin WILL have problems when you run it on 1.0 SVN, and a 1.0 SVN skin WILL have problems when you run it on a 1.0 Final.

This is probably the case here, the switch skin button is changed in SVN compared to regular 1.0.

New layout blows for TVSeries

I love Monochrome--it's one of the reasons I use MP. I love its simplicity and dark, muted color. However, I've got to agree with these past few posts about the new TVSeries layout. It blows. Why waste a third of the screen for an obscure strip of a larger fanart pic? That space would be better served with larger episode list, description, season pic, episode pic, and/or info panel.

And about widebanner, since the different TVSeries XMLs and preview pics of previous Monochrome versions are now gone, the installation instructions should at least document how to change it the layout--the posts about editing TVSeries.SkinSettings.xml are easily lost in these 120+ pages of the Monochrome thread.

And I'm not thrilled about the new Video layout. Used to have a nice 6x2 layout, which I think was bigicons? Now bigicons is 5x1, which is basically the same as the choppy filmstrip. Both of those show too few icons when scrolling through 700+ movies. Next step down a minuscule 10x2, which is too wide and requires a constant side-to-side scanning.

Where can I download previous versions? Haven't downloaded since 2.2 and I'd like to play with the in between versions 2.4 or 2.3 see if I could use those instead or piecemeal them with 2.5.
