As far as I knew it was not possible to play an image file in MediaPortal without first mounting it. Have you specially configured anything zyxel13?

Hi fforde,

well at least from V1.0 i had just to add the extension (.iso, etc) to the extension list and the Image plays directly from a share, didnt tryed to in Library mode.
But playing it from a share it works 100%.

XBMC has many working details but not much funktionality(features), Media Portla has much more functionaly but mostly made "just to work" no detail work.

I use bothe the MediaPortal and XBMC on the same HTPC, unfortunately till now non of them gives me all the functionalities i wnat, so I use both......
For example, the Picture viever from MediaPortal is (sorry) grap, compared to XBMC, etc.....

Yes the new release should work under Windows 7. And 0.7 has launched.
