Forgive me, but i have to ask:
Any ideas on when "next version" will be available?
I have tried not to be impatient, but i can't wait for the Filter opportunity

Well you can track the progress towards the next release here. Put simply though we have:

1) Some cleanup work for the multiple data source system. There are some problems right now when the user tries to pull details from one data source when previously another was used for that movie. This is probably a Saturday's worth of work. We have already talked about and decided upon a solution.

2) Switch from the meligrove backdrop provider to themoviedb.org. They are run by the same person and meligrove is being phased out. This is half a days worth of work maybe?

3) Two bug fixes and some GUI polish (a few dummy labels and one new regular label). All combined this is maybe another half day.

So once those issues are complete, we will send the alpha version to our testers (early next week?). They will bang away at it for a day or two and if everything looks good, we'll release it. I know this release has been a long time coming, and I am sorry for the hold-up. Real life comes first though. I have a sister with a 6 month old baby and a two year old, a best friend with a new born, my mom just had her birthday, and we have been facing some major deadlines at my real job lately. There is just not enough time to go around sometimes. And with this release, there are a lot of major functional changes that I want to work right the first time.

Just to be clear, based on the time line I gave above, we are looking at a public release towards the end of next week, assuming we spend a few days in testing. Please keep in mind guys that these dates are flexible. This is an estimate only and unforeseen circumstances (relating to Moving Pictures or otherwise) could affect this date.

I have a quick question I was messing around in the facade xml and noticed a reference to the video frame
for the filmstrip view, I see the frame in the image folder but there is no frame for the covers in
the filmstrip view, I checked your screenshot also to make sure I didnt change something that
would make it not show, was it meant to have a frame around it???

Just curious after seeing the code referring to it

is the order correct? I've noticed in one of my 4x3 skinfiles that I had the order wrong. First draw the frame, then draw the coverart... Then you can not see the frame.
    It might just be..
btw, this is fixed in coming version

No it was set to NO for show cover but the alignment isnt correct so maybe it was meant to be off for now

First of all, I look forward to the next release :)

but the reassign function doesn't work well for me, here is an example:

I overlooked a mistake in the movie inporter (real moviename is "mad max 1", but moving pictures has called it "made in germany"
So I want to reassign this movie ..., but if I rescan for possible matches it still suggests "made in germany" and I can't make a selection

btw: when will TMDb probably be intigrated?

How about looking at the provider I mentioned earlier? MoTechPosters - Movie Posters and Covers
I have been using this site for subs and posters for a very long time - and I always find what I want for a poster there.

Although they do have some posters around (and good ones to) I couldn't find any info on API's
TMDB is providing an API which makes it a lot easier to interface with the site to find the correct poster/cover.

Does anyone know how I can find the missing DVD cover art? I have about 5 movies that moving pictures found all the infor for except the backdrop and cover art. I searched on goodle but the only images I can find look HORRIBLE in moving pictures. Any suggesstions? I just find it odd that it get's all the detaisl but not the art......

Also, I have a lot of .iso files that it finds but when I load MP and then scroll down to the .iso movie in the moving pictures menu it tells me it was not "able to mount DVD image"??? ans suggesstions on either one of these? Thanks!

Coverart will be improved in the coming release.
As for iso's: do you have daemon tools installed?
Marvenius........thanks for answering my reply. I do have Daemon tools installed but not sure how that can help me. I have alwasy used Daemen toosl to play .iso through VLC, but don't know how that woudl integrate into MP. Also, can you help me out real quick on understanding how moving pictures accesses files. I ripped a DVD that has the VOB files and the .nfo file. For some reason, moving pictures finds the vob files starting with the first vob file and completely overlooks the .nfo file. I didn't think it was that big of a deal, but when I went into moving pictures to play the movie the screen just stays black. MP doesn't freeze or antying the movie just acts like it is playing, but never does :-( What is more weired, is it was playing them just last night! Can anyone help me with this? I wouldn't mind .iso or VOB as long as I coudl get either one of them to play in moving pictures. I got them to play fine under my videos??? Thanks in advance and great plug in!
