Ever since the latest patch moving pictures has looked like or similar to this with the loading bar continuously moving back and forth.

If I click the X to close media portal a window pops up indicating that MediaPortal has crashed. Everything else seems to work fine except for a large amount of RAM usage when MediaPortal has just finished starting up. It goes back down to a reasonable level about 20 seconds later.

This could be a Moving Pictures issue but I thought I'd post here first since it happened after the latest patch.

I'm not sure which logs would be relevant so just let me know and I'll post them.

    maybe your moving pictures database is damaged, if you load the moving pictures plugin directly via media portal configuruation does it load ok?

    in the last patch there was a moving pictures update maybe something went wrong with your db

    you should reproduce the issue and post all the logs in the logs directory so people will have a look

    This would be something to do with MovingPictures plugin rather than skin. Attach all your logs (in debug mode), most important ones are movingpictures/mediaportal/error logs.

    When I open Moving Pictures I get this:

    it just sits there saying "retrieving possible matches..." and shows no progress. If I click on importer settings it crashes with this message:

    i believe your moving pictures database is corrupt

    see if there is a backup of it in C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Database

    if there is, delete or rename the old movingpictures.db3 and replace it with a backup

    then go back into the plugin via mp configuration and check

    Hmm, looks like you're right. It actually looks like the database had been corrupt for a while too. I keep backups using WHS so I tried one from before I applied the patch (01/23/2011) and it was still giving me the same "retrieving..." message and doing nothing. There was a backup from October in the database folder so I tried that and it worked.

    A while ago opening the plugin via mp config was taking a long time but since using the backup it seems to be working fine now. I wonder what would have caused it to become corrupt in the first place?
