    Solution for now:

    - Uninstall MediaPortal and TvService
    - Install MediaPortal 1.0 / TvService 1.0
    - Start TvServer Configuration
    - Import or configure your channels
    - Exit TvServer Configuration
    - Install MediaPortal 1.0.1 / TvService 1.0.1 with the update option
Why dont you take the "shortcut"? :)

    - Uninstall MediaPortal and TvService (do not drop the database of tv-server)
    - Install MediaPortal 1.0.1 / TvService 1.0.1 (Singleseat i guess?)
    - Start TvServer Configuration
    - done

We did this many, many, many times. And never encountered any issues under WinXP nor Vista.
All possible configurations of installing/upgrading (Singleseat/Multiseat/ded.Server/noTV-Server) were tested countless times before we published the 1.0.1 release.

So the issues reported here are more than just confusing.

    Same Problem

None of my two TV cards shows up TV Server configuration! I have used media portal for four years and never had this problem.

    How did you run update?

Well i've just formatted and re-installed Windows and all drivers, updates and required components...

Installed MP 1.0.1 and low and behold, still could not see the TV Server in TV Server Configuration. After removing 1.0.1 and installing 1.0.0, it the TV Server Configuration worked correctly again, so there is definately a problem with 1.0.1 that does not seem to be affected when you run the update..

Sorry I don't have anymore logs as I am more interested in just getting it working again as it is 4am here in Aus and I have been trying to get this working for the last 12 hours!

How did you run the update? In my installer it is disabled!

    Hi,

update is 'greyed out', just go for the clean install (the option that is below the update option) and after that it works (at least for me)

    regards,
    Ruud.

    Hi all,
I can confirm the issue with multiple analog cards & fresh install(forced fresh by installer) now, been a long day but finally. We will look into it & reply when solution found. Upgrade from 1.0 to 1.0.1 it's no problem & "old" db + new install also works ....

    Regards
    Roy
