vinch100, can you attach your full log. Ensure you also copy across the pdb file in the attachment as that should hopefully pinpoint the code line if its still a problem with the new dll.

Hi ltfearme, here are the logs, but I cannot find the "pdb" file neither in the plugin folder nor with a search across my C drive, how do I generate it ?

I also tried with Blue3Wide... same error

I aplogize I hadn't understood that your previous post contained a new dll, but now it works flawlessly.

    Guys,

I think i am seeing the same problem.

    The Symptoms are as follows:

    1) Recently upgraded to the latest SAF V6.1 as i was having problems playing a few different types of movies etc.
    2) Had problems with the error of this thread i.e. MediaPortal pops up a screen saying it has stopped responding - playback continues for about another 30 seconds - then video freezes and audio continues. This happens approx every 10 minutes that MP is in use and requires a PC restart to get going again
    3) Rolled back to V5 of the SAF drivers - no change
    4) Did an online update of the StreamedMP Theme to the latest - no change
    5) Started following the threads on this forum - i have updated the Mediainfo DLL to 0.751
    6) I have downloaded and installed the updated DLLs included in this thread

I have attached log files notably i am seeing SQLlite errors in the log file that appears to be directly related to MP TV series

    Any Ideas please ?

    Craig

Delete the MPTVSeries database and reconfigure.

Edit: Personally I would delete SAF (all versions) and install LAV filters using the MediaPortal Extensions installer. It will allow you to play pretty much all types of video.

    Remember to check LAV settings.

For example DXVA might not be enabled, which would seriously dampen the enjoyment of the LAV filter. So be sure to go over all the video and audio settings. If anything is unclear as to what their meaning is then just ask on the forum here and somebody will be happy to help.

Thanks for this advise - i deleted the DB and recreated it, removed SAF and used the MPEI to install LAV - worked fine - however playback was not smooth in a 720P TV show. So reinstalled latest SAF 6.1 (which removed LAV) and all is working fine now. I have not had experience with LAV nor tweaking it for different content types so am happy to stay with SAF at this stage.

    thanks for the help

Then you indeed forgot to select "DXVA2 (Native)" inside LAV video codec settings, which means the CPU has to decode everything. For High Definition material this means you need a super fast CPU, where with DXVA you can do it on a very weak CPU with a videocard that supports DXVA.
