I'm going to try the same test on my laptop which has the same OS but has an Intel GPU, to see if it makes any difference.
Unfortunately, same result, MP crashes when changing channel, see logs from laptop attached.

@CyberSimian, when you change channel, what do your MediaPortal.log entries look like from "OnSubtitleReset" onwards? I'm wondering if the various 'bitmap' entries give anything away. Note I was switching from Channel 4 HD to BBC One HD.

I think that the completed MP 1.37 will be available within a day or two. Although I am not aware of any changes that might have affected your problem, it seems sensible to wait for the completed release, install that, and then see if the problem persists. There is no point in trying to debug the pre-release if the problem is not present in the completed release.

Would you like me to start a new post at that point, or continue with this one?
Probably better to continue with this thread (it keeps the discussion in one place). I can change the title to remove "Pre-release" if the problem persists into the completed release.

    Hello,

I have recently updated to MediaPortalSetup_x64_1.37.000_2025-04-14-08-35 running in UK with DVB-T & DVB-T2, on a single seat, Windows 10 with all latest updates and I have the same problem of MP crashes on channel change if Enable DVB Subtitles is ticked in MediaPortal configuration. No problems if it is not enabled.

I was going to report a bug via the link on the MediaPortal-137-release download webpage, but that takes me to:
"Forums - Language specific support - MediaPortal Forums Francais - MediaPortal 2 - Support". but I then found this thread.

I have full logs created with the MediaPortal Debug tool if required. I could not find where to list my System Specs on my profile, so I assume that is no longer required, it has been many years since I participated in this forum.

    Regards
    Wombat-UK

I have essentially the same setup as you, but on Windows 7. However, I do not experience the problem that you describe.
DVB subtitles are enabled in "MP Config", and I can change channel without problem, whether subtitles are enabled or not.

One of the developers will need to look at this. @doskabouter @ajs

I haven't installed the MP v1.37 release version yet, but will do so tonight and repeat the same test as before. It's encouraging (for me) that I'm not the only one experiencing this issue ;).

Same issue remains with the release version, see logs attached. Based on feedback from @CyberSimian and @Wombat-UK we know the crash doesn't happen on Windows 7, but it does happen on Windows 10 (@Wombat-UK) and Windows 11 (myself). Hopefully this can be fixed as we do use DVB subtitles from time to time. I'm happy to troubleshoot and test potential fixes.
