On TVHome, MP try to ask the tvserver (most is trigger by recording logo) then here a long timeout is trigger.
If you put MP in standby from Home Basic Menu, the resume will be better and if you go on TV (TVService is off for now) MP will ask Hostname/IP connection Menu.

So staying on TVHome can trigger GUI Freeze (in fact it's mp that wait an answer).

I have try to set it that in Different Process Thread but that don't work correctly.

Ok heres the logs as requested: I just got home this afternoon and the kitchen one which was only built the other day and had new windows 7 and mp fresh install on it was doing the same, the WOL command was sent and the server woke but it was 2/3 mins before MP was responsive and it was on the recordings guide and the time was showing 22:26 until it updated 3 minutes later. That's the time that the kitchen system was turned off last night. Both are clients only. The server side which is single seat never has any problems from resume has the same plugins etc installed and no issues at all.

Effectively for both client : It seems Client is connected to Server (Lounge) but it stay like this for a while :(
The 'RemoteControl - Connected' tell us that the connection is made, now why it take time to recover ? (i don't know).

    Code:
    [2013-07-02 08:11:19,969] [Log	] [TvClient-TvHome: HeartBeat transmitter thread] [INFO ] - RemoteControl - Connected
    [2013-07-02 08:12:34,433] [Log	] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - X10 debug: Could not get interface

    [2013-07-02 14:14:53,464] [Log	] [TvClient-TvHome: HeartBeat transmitter thread] [INFO ] - RemoteControl - Connected
    [2013-07-02 14:16:08,474] [Log	] [MPMain ] [INFO ] - X10 debug: Could not get interface

    Could you try something ?
    • Server UP and Client too
    • On Server : Try to stop tvservice (net stop tvservice from dos prompt) or from SetupTV (manual control)
    • Do that when client are on TVHome (or TVGuide / Recorded etc.)
    • Do that when client are on Home Screen (where we have selection Music / Video / etc.)
    • See if you get Freeze (for how long)
    • Restart TVService (net start tvservice or by SetupTV)
Did you go in the same thing ? (MP no answer for 1 or 2 minutes)

    Thanks :)

Ok Sir I have done this - When client on tv guide/recorded tv - pop up saying connection to tv service lost - no freeze up at all can still use MP.

When on the home screen again the same pop up saying connection to tv service lost but no freeze up of MP at all. Works fine. This is an issue when resume from S3 only it seems.

    Just to be sure :

Client and Server is OFF -> start Client -> WOL on Server -> Freeze. right ?
Client (S3) and Server is ON -> start Client -> Server Online -> no Freeze. right ?

    :)

Freezes also even if server is awake and recording or playing live tv. Doesn't matter if its not asleep. I do get a pop up sometimes just before it starts working saying a required Internet connection is not established for world weather then mp works as normal.

So it looks like the netword card is not ready/up and then lead to this freeze issue. (But i'm not sure).
