I remember @framug having exactly the same issue.
Probably it has samothing to do with TVControl RemoteControling (the way how client comunicates with the remote server via tcp channel).
    Hello,
If you remember our discussion, I thought it was a specific problem with my usb dual tuner card and also, because my system wasn't up to date.
At this date, I was with a limited Internet connexion.
Now, I can say that I have the same problem with my TBS 8 tuners card with up to date system.
Then, I suppose there is really a problem, around since SharpDX or X64 stuff...
Tried all "preload" functions, same problem.
For the moment, unfortunately, I have no more free time to investigate more...

    Hi,
the TvServer doesn't use SharpDX and @harryzwo is using x86 version.

The attached file includes modified libs with extra debuging.
I need TVService log with verbosity set to Debug level (SetupTV -> General Section).

Yes, but for me, the problem arise when client try to display TV flow.
Need to click on "TV On" button few times to finally have the display.
It seems to be OK when TVE config + manual control/timeshift.

and @harryzwo is using x86 version.
    Then, maybe it's not a X64 problem.
The difficulty to know is both when 2 (great) enhancements were delivered in the same time. ;)

    THX for your modified files.
    I use X64 version not X86 :)
    I a user can report for X86...
Otherwise, will do but, in some days/weeks.
Hopefully, with my future install, I will have one single-seat HTPC and, another Pc client only.
Will be easier to find where could be the problem...
But, the most important for debug/fix, my DEV PC will be available only in some weeks.... :(

I think the card is not compatible with MP.
From your "TvService.log", it looks as though you are using Kodi. I have never used Kodi, but according to this post the current release of Kodi has some performance problems. It might be worthwhile using the MP client for a few days in place of the Kodi client, to see if that solves the problem. Alternatively, downgrade to an older version of the Kodi client, which (apparently) works OK.

Is this solved? I've had the same, or maybe just similar, issue for a while now, and I've narrowed it down to Onlinevideos getting MediaPortal stuck on the plugin loading stage of startup. Installing the former stable version now, and MediaPortal seems to start without issues.

This usually happens when I start windows and MediaPortal auto loads on startup. I have to kill the process and try again, sometimes it takes 3 tries to get MediaPortal up and running. I've never had a problem like this before. The sad thing is that the only clue in the Mediaportal.log is that Onlinevideos is being loaded, then nothing.
