We have always the Problem that our LAN is not ready after Resume (for some Seconds) and MP is reacting weired or Crash sometimes.
That should only happen if you've moved the database and/or thumbs folder to a network location.
If all local resources are available, MP should run without an issue, but will report remote files to be offline, till the LAN is initiated.

Have you set fixed IPs in the network adapter on every PC in the network?
My LAN is init within 2 seconds after resume, Teamviewer shows me a popup on my desktop that the HTPC is available again, even before i see a picture on my TV (really fast).
Besided that i've also put all the IP adresses of my machines in the hosts file, to rule out any DNS issues.
Might be worth a try for you?

    Thank you for your suggestions!

    - I have set up fixed IP´s and use only the IP Adresses and not the Machinenames.
    - Databases and Thumbs are Local on the Client.
    - LAN is ready after 2-3 Seconds i believe. (It is faster than my TV shows the Picture)
    - On resume, WorldWeatherLite tells me that there is no Internet Connection. (Timeout is set to 100seconds so this is also ignored)
    - MP Hangs sometimes when i send the Client to resume while "in the TV Guide". On Resume the Guide Hangs without actual EPG Data. (But the Clock on Top is correct.) I have yesterday set the Option to keep MP always on top because i found a comment in the Forum that this could Help... Maybe this is it, we will see :)[DOUBLEPOST=1398858842][/DOUBLEPOST]
Yep this item not checked is only working on a fresh restart of MP.

In fact, when going to standy MP stay as is and on wake up too, so to be able to back to home, on resume code part, we need to add code to go to home.

Please Please Please add this Function. (go to Home after Resume).
IMHO @regeszter has added this already to his own Version..

Also the Function to wait x Seconds after Resume was great. We have always the Problem that our LAN is not ready after Resume (for some Seconds) and MP is reacting weired or Crash sometimes.

Would add too that wait x seconds after Resume works normally :)
If i set 30 seconds with checked resume option, on resume MP will wait 30 seconds.

    I remember testing that with @michael_t :)

But on my win8, OnResumeAutomatic is not always done in order that should be on Win7.

Well, it does not work here. I use Windows 7 Pro 64bit.

Please Please Please add this Function. (go to Home after Resume).

    For Sebastiii:
If you could add some code for the "Resume from standby" to home screen, it would be perfect. I was thinking to add this functionality to the Power TV button in the Remote Control setting in MP Config tool, but unfortunatelly just one task per remote control button is a limitation.

I would propose to add some code to the MP to wakes up MP from standby to home screen to do following before it goes to sleep:
    • to stop DVD playing (if there is any) and then to execute command "Switch home" and then to go to sleep (as MP sometime freezes during the wake up process if there is playing task)
    • to stop Media playing (if there is any) and then to execute command "Switch home" and then to go to sleep (as MP sometime freezes during the wake up process if there is playing task)
    • to stop Music playing (if there is any) and then to execute command "Switch home" and then to go to sleep (as MP sometime freezes during the wake up process if there is playing task)
    • to stop TV playing (if there is any) and then to execute command "Switch home" and then to go to sleep (as MP sometime freezes during the wake up process if there is playing task)
In above it would ensure that before MP will go to sleep, MP stops to play anything and goes to the home screen.

Do you happen to have the option 'Force system refresh after resume' enabled? This was giving me issues in the past, but that's been fixed already.
I do sometimes see the popup from WorldWeather, but it doesn't lock the UI anymore (Seb fixed that also)

MP Hangs sometimes when i send the Client to resume while "in the TV Guide". On Resume the Guide Hangs without actual EPG Data.
Sounds similar to the resume issue i had. After resume UI is now perfectly responsive, but when i enter TVHome (directly after resume, but also the first time, even if it's 10 minutes after resume) i always had a 30 seconds delay.
This was related to 'bad' content in the dB tables... We're still looking into this (seems to be caused by a too long SQL Statement). I fixed my issue in the mean time by replacing MySQL with MSSQL, and that doesn't trigger the issue anymore. With a clean MySQL dB, i can still trigger the issue.

Did u try the MPStartIt plugin ?

"Remember last active module" works in both "onResume" as well as when starting MP.
It does the same job here.

    maybe u want 2 options:

Remember last active module when starting.
Remember last active module when resuming.

Its the opposite they want it to go to home screen at system resume time which i would also prefer.

then just disable the setting and it should.. otherwise a bug.

    Uhm... trying to understand this...
For a cold start of MP, i can imagine this option is useful, but for resume?
The last active module before going into standby is the actual screen that MP is sitting on, right?

I mean, when i enter TV Series, then go to BasicHome and let MP idle in there and go to sleep with PowerScheduler, then it wakes up on the HomeScreen.
Same when i let MP stay idle in TV Series and force/let it go into standby, then it wakes up in TV Series.

From what i understood, they want to let MP idle in (for example) TV Series, then let system go into standby (or force it) and after wake-up, it should be sitting on BasicHome. Or i misunderstood...

I have to look at Home. I believe it is on. But it does not lock the UI, That is right.

I use MSSQL since 2 Years or so for MP.[DOUBLEPOST=1398864863][/DOUBLEPOST]

Exactly. Imagine send MP to Standby while on EPG Guide or TV-Series with the Remote. It suspends in this Module and when it wakes up MP should switch to Home Screen.
