    I can reproduce the problem with v0078 & v0084 - working on a fix....

    Tony

OK - 'dshowhelper_v0085_part_DWM' attached, with FFDShow aspect ratio change fix.

Other changes since v0084 include some experimental mods which might help with the 'black screen' problems, and updates to the EVRGetVideoFPS() function to try and improve the accuracy (used by disaster123's dynamic refresh rate change patch).

    Have fun :)

    Hi Owlsroost,

What do you mean with "black screen problems"?
I ask this because I sometimes get a black screen (when starting tv) and after that all my movies, recordings,.. have a black screen. It seems that the internal video player crashed or so (mediaportal still works).

A few people have reported a problem after playing video that the MP GUI isn't visible (just a black screen) - MP is still running behind, and starting TV from the remote fixes it. I can't reproduce the problem, but it seems mostly to occur after a change back to the default refresh rate e.g. from 24Hz for the movie back to 50Hz at the end of play.

Cosmetic issue: when you start TV, MP adds to graph mpeg2 and also mpeg4 decoder (I asume that is the way to be fast when switching from sd to hd channel)... Issue: dshowhelper doesn't detect which is the actual decoder used, and always shows in stats first decoder used when you start viewing TV. Last regular v54e is doing it well.

BTW, comparing last v85 with v54e which I use "in production" for some months now, live tv is performing very well (I'd say better v85 than v54e)... on the other hand, hd ~24 hz material is performing way worse (very unstable lines in stats, more drop frames). Could it be because I use CoreAVC software decoder? I use it because it's doing better than any other decoder I've tried for many time.

    bye!

The filter info is only collected when the filter graph is first built, so dynamic filter changes (following a channel change) won't show up in the render stats.

Playing 24Hz material seems to be a problem on some systems with DWM 'queued' mode enabled, but I can't think of anything else to try as a fix.....

The I don't understand why v54e is showing correct decoder used each time... ¿?

I did a quick test yesterday night, using Cyberlink PDVD 11 decoder instead of CoreAVC... The result was flater lines, more stable play... but I must do some more long tests to confirm, also with v54e to compare (as I've changed some things in my system lately, and I hadn't tried Cyberlink decoder for 24hz for some time now).

    bye!

I can't do it remotely, because then evr.log gets flooded of delay and drop messages... I'll do it when I get home this afternoon.

And sorry, yes... I was talking about v55e obviously... :p

    bye!

Ok. Here you have. Same test: start MP, tune an HD channel, zap to SD, back to HD, back to SD, stop TV.
