Owlsroost I Still have the same problems with crashing using the 87/88 builds (only on the PPV channels, Tested channel C+ Extra 3 (comhem,Sweden)). do you have any other tips on how to error search this?

    This is what hapens

Picture starts to stutter heavily, and then the picture goes blank (sound is playing) and after some sec, it crashes.

It can take some time before the stutter and crashing comes, yesturday it took about 1h and the day before that it took 15 min,

this as i said only happens with 87/88.

with any other channel it works flawlessly its only on the ppv channel this is happening, been testing consistant on c+ extra 3 so that nothing else has changed except for the dshowhelper.

BTW, in sweden we use both dvb subs and teletext subs (if that is to any help)

Some updated info for you owlsroost, when i deactivate the subtitles i dont get any crashes on the ppv channels.
So there is definatly something going on with the changes you made to the subtitle code.

Was the crash a BSOD? (sorry, have been busy lately and not following the whole thread). If it was a BSOD then it is a 99.9% sure a driver bug that the newly changed code just triggers.

okay i will try to see if i can test some other drivers and see if it helps.

hope my info has helped somewhat, and not just caused trouble ;)

No problem :) - if you have any logs for when it crashed I'd like to see them please ?

I'll take another look at the code differences from v86 to v87/v88 (does v86 work OK ?)

I know that recently i get some stutter and red line are not flat, it seems happen after changing my video card from ATI5770 to Nvidia460.
But in the same time i have setup reclock to get WASAPI PCM sound with LAVAudio.

Bitstreaming is highly likely to cause periodic stutter - unless audio and video HW clocks match 1:1 you are 100% sure to get stuttering on some constant interval (depends on the % how much the audio and video clock speeds differ).

i havent been getting any real log files for it im sorry.
but 86 works like a charm, and 87/88 works if i disable subtitles
but i can test some more tomorrow (since it only ppv channel it happens on i have to wait until there is a soccer game (or ppv rerun of the game))and enable debug logging.

    Hey :)

But before ATI + Bitstream + FFDShow audio = no stutter, this is why i didn't understand lol
I will retry FFDShow to see :)
    Thanks.

Different video and audio chips, so it could be the cause.

Yep, good to try since it could be the LAV audio's bitstreaming as well (there is no proof that it is 100% accurate - same goes for Reclock, maybe it will drop few bytes once in a while and it causes drifting with A/V streams).
