Anyone tried playing a DVD? I tried one of my Friends DVD's with DXVA via the Windows DTV Decoder and it causes crashing within Media Portal but didn't completely kill Media Portal. I think if I let it play it was fine, but pausing and playing it would screw up.

Logs I can provide at a later date.

    Well spotted - Yes, it's a bug :(

I can reproduce it with the MS DTV-DVD decoder but I think it's OK with others e.g. Cyberlink

v68 is absolutely fine for my setup. All lines at the center of the screen. no shutter on HD and SD and any material.
Russian says: "the best is the enemy of the good", so i stop my experimenst and stay on v68. Thank u very much, Tony !!!

Version 55(b) is best for me with still the odd dropped frame but better than 68 where the green line jumps up and down every minute or so causing stutter.

PS: using the original mp 1.2alpha ( i think it is the v37 or something similar) i wasn't having any stutter issues since the day of release

What about the repeated frame indicator in the statistics.
Does an increasing value here is a negative indication?

So far 55b seems to work best for me.

Yes, but it normally happens because the display FPS is faster than the video FPS.

    Basically:

If the display FPS is slower than the video FPS you will get periodic dropped frames.

If the display FPS is faster than the video FPS you will get periodic repeated frames.

    Hi there,

I have problems with v55a/b and v67, v67 the screen seems to freeze for a few seconds at times and I have audio sync issues.

The best for me is the version that ships with MP Audio Renderer.

I will try and capture some logs from v67 and v55b

    Thanks,

    J.
