I see. You have selected "Samba check" radio button in General section. Switch the setting to "Ping".
But still, there is another bug in Core - when the virtual folder is loaded from xml settings, the hostdetected method prop still remains in "Default" state causing to use the option from General section (in your case Samba).

That did the trick. With "Ping" selected my local files are shown again. Thank you Pablik!
