MP2 - V2.1 [MP2-556] Font rendering issues with Intel HD chipsets on Windows 10 (1 Viewer)

after the MP 2.1 install there are still weird dots over the normal font with the standard skin.

Hhm, I've never seen the dots here, although I do have Intel hardware.

I have to confirm those dots are still there with MP 2.1 I have this ever since my switch to Win 10 and afaik it is a driver issue...

As this issue only appears in MediaPortal and as @morpheus_xx has done already some work on it that cures 60% of this issue I'm pretty sure we also can and should fix the "rest" of it too. It's a font rendering issue depending on used font, size and margins originally caused by the Intel HD Graphics driver but nearly exclusively shown in MP 2.x. Intel guaranteed will never fix this as it did not appear in other programs..

Aside this it still is existing in MP 2.1pre...

Added as MP2-556 (and moved thread up to current bug section as it is still open)

@aspik has started to do some work on introducing D2D, which renders much nicer than DX9. Nothing that will be finished tomorrow of course but maybe a way to resolve the rendering issue on Intel hardware mid-term.

I thought the same I also have an Intel GPU and see these dots from time to time (currently with 2.1 on my notebook not).

I just have completely reinstalled my DevPC with new Win10 1703 release, with automatic driver installation. The used Intel driver is;
