First of all I'm very excited that 2.1 reached Pre Release status. The default skin doesn't seem to support non-english characters? I have some korean music with korean names (hangul) which shows fine in MP1, but shows ??? in MP2.1, see attached screenshot.

    Hi.
    Thanks for trying MP 2.1
The default skin doesn't seem to support non-english characters?
It definitely can display non-english characters like German Umlauts or Scandinavian special chars. As far as I know even Arabic and Hebrew chars are displayed properly. But it definitely is possible that some country specific chars are not supported by the used fonts.
I can not tell you which font is supporting those chars but if you have one this probably can be used in your setup. How to do this I don't know, this has to be told by someone else...

@dhrto , is your functioning MP1 setup (i.e. client and server) on the same PC(s) as the MP 2.1 installation?

This is to exclude that the Korean font might not be installed on your PC. If this is Windows 10 you could add Korean as language on the respective machines which ensures that the language fonts are available.

MP1 is on the same PC and shows the korean characters just fine, see attached screenshot.

@dhrto , I assume that the Korean characters are part of the music file tags. Could you upload a short file somewhere and provide a link via PM to me? I would like to see how it behaves on my system.

Also could you please complete your system specification in your profile and set it to visible?

    download works here.

@dhrto the availability of unicode characters depends only on the used font inside the skin. If the used skin font supports Korean characters, they will be shown in GUI correctly.

For reference, can you please change the skin to "default" (settings, appearance, skin). There is another font used that is known to support some more unicode characters (like cyrillic).

There is a quite easy way to customize the skin font, so we can look into this alternative later.

I tried the other skins and themes, but unfortunately no luck. See attached screenshots.
