I think you did not check the Wiki and have still MP1 installed in parallel, right? ;) You need to disable the MP1 service or deinstall MP1.
Please see here. I find the same error in your server logs.

Edit: There is also another potential root cause. Please check here.

Hmm, must have missed that - sorry. Anyway, stopped TVService & disabled. Restarted MP2Service. Tried to invoke program via the EPG - nothing (visible) happened. Logs attached,

The previous error is gone now, but it says:
    2018-01-27 20:12:32,000] [80852 ] [70 ] [ERROR] - Starting timeshifting failed with result AllCardsBusy

So there is still a process, that is accessing the card. Do you have anything else as WMC installed on your PC? Best is to close deactivate everything that could access the TV-tuner and then restart MP2-server. Perhaps a reboot beforehand could be also worth a try.

If this also doesn't work I'm not having a good idea and need to think further or involve somebody else. I'm not using much TV with MP2.

I noticed that a PLEX server was running on this computer - odd, it actually runs on my NAS. Anyway, it has an associated process which accesses the tuner card. Killed the server and restarted MP2. No joy but I believe a different error:

PMT Pid wasn't found on the PAT. Channel may have moved, try a new channel scan.

This was repeated a number of times.

apologies for the delay - Oz womens tennis final on here in Melb - checking out the status

You have 3 DVBT tuner, the first one is busy, so it's used by another application.
The other two are not mapped, so in total all available cards are busy. Go to the TV-configuration and map the channels also to other tuner #5 #6. In wiki you can find instructions.

OK, I'm confused because in the mapping section of the TV Config, there are 3 entries in the drop-down:

1 RadioWebStream Card which has nothing mapped to the card
6 Win TV 7164 BDA DVBT Tuner with lots of channels mapped and available
5 Win TV 7164 BDA DVBT Tuner with lots of channels mapped and available

The box at the bottom is not ticked. This is how it looked in MP1 in fact I exported/imported the settings from there.

Tried completely uninstalling MP 2 and then re-installing. Can't open a TV channel until I have some EPG entries.
