knutinh - That is an excellent idea! I think more people would like to know how this project is progressing.

Perhaps some of the non-developers would be willing to post a few shots, explain a little what can be done and cant be done, and let the developers... develop? =)

I had a iPaq 2490 before which came with a bluetooth connection manager.
Now I have a Mio A701 which has only teh WM5 standard bluetooth connection manager. I would like to set up a Network connection thrue bluetooth. This worked nicely with my iPaq. But now I can only make a serial port connection. There is no service running on my PDA that enables a network connection. Can anyone tell me how to enamble the needed components on my PDA, so I can connect to my MP PC?
I would loe to help testing this wonderfull addon!

Ok I tried it on RC4, and indeed it does not work..

I regulary do a code update on my development machine, so it is possible that the components I use to build are no longer compatible with RC4.

I tried installing RC4, and compile MPBlue against that version, but still no luck.

after I applied the latest SVN update (mediaportal-svn-06-27-2006--16-02.rar) it works, but this SVN release might not be completely stable..
it should work with any SVN version starting from the 25th, but only the one listed above has been tested..

It is quite a pain to keep the builds compatible.. at the speed MP is evolving, I can't keep up with them..

If I can get my hands on the RC4 source, I can probably rebuild it.

    regards

BTW, who voted 5 stars in the download section for something that was'nt working  ?? thanks 8)

Oh, and there seems to be an issue with the configuration section of the server.. the initial port setttings are 9000,9000 this should obviously be just 9000 ar any free port You want to use..

Maybe you could post what components your plugin is depending on. So other developers can inform you when changes are being made that might influence your work.

This is the controls page for navigation

    controls.gif

All pages two dropdowns at the top to jump to different pages.

Here is the media library page, expand the views to get listings by Artist, album or genre (more to come)

    medialibrary.gif

And here is what the small dropdown menu looks like, you can customize this by editting the xml file.

At the bottom of most pages are media control keys, and I think in most views you will get the song name displayed as you play. There is also the now playing page which lists all the id3 info on the current song.

I'll try one of the svc's on RC4 and see how that works.

    Thanks a lot Zeta!

I have ordered a Dell x51 (?) PDA w/ wlan, BT, 64MB ram, etc. Hopefully, I will be able to use it together with this app. As a backupplan (not that I do not trust the developers here...) I have NetRemote and/or remote desktop via RealVNC.

    Best regards
    Knut
