Hey knutinh!

Is your project still alive? This sideshow thingy really looks interesting, but is this also available in Win XP? I think many users - including me - will not switch to vista so early... If XP works also with sideshow, this could be a promising aproach for something like a uniform interface from and to MediaPortal.

I for one am not planning on moving to Vista anytime soon, and I suspect many parts of media portal will be broken on vista. I have not looked into it, I'm sure there are threads discussing it. I do know over at Snapstream they are trying to get a vista working version of btv out. Big issues are user permissions, dvd codecs, overlay, web access, deinterlacing, etc etc.

To have sideshow work on xp, wouldn't that be more of a hardware issue? Sideshow basically sounds like a small flash device running on its own embedded system but capable of reading data while a computer is off. Is that data required to be in the flash part of thse hybrid flash/disk drives? I don't see where vista should be required for that, sound like you'd need to make the hybrid drives work under xp, then give the sideshow device an embedded OS. I'M guessing m$ won't allow this, as they seem desperate to have reasons to get people to upgrade to vista.

Ok, anything going on here? I have a new question, any way to set a command to restore MP if it is minimized to tray? It seems now playing does not work if it is minimized, (just time is displayed) otherwise I can control this way.

Also, Mr Sensitive, did you ever get a fix for the loss of connection on pda standby?

Ok, update on playing while media portal is minimized. Commands work fine, but again, nothing is transmitted to the now playing screen, it acts like visualizations are fullscreen. I would like to be able to let the audio run in the background and still get the song and album info in MPblue, any ideas how to change this? Also, I can restore MP from minimized with my remote by sending the mediaportal.exe command, any way to get MPBlue to send this as a shortcut key?

Also, still have the issue when my pda goes into standby, I have to exit and restart MPBlue otherwise nothing (not even timeline) works in now playing.

I'm testing in the emulator and on a Dell Axim X5..

Finaly got MP 0.2.2.0 going on my system again and found your plugin MPBlue!
Killer deal I thought. Just bought this Axim X5 with WinMobile 2003 but MPBlue won't even start for me. Sigh!

Think I should push win2002 back on it and try again?

Anyway from the talk in this thread it seems like you've got a heck of a deal going here. Hope it gets more attention!

Two active issues with MPBlue I can think of, doesn't recover if pda goes in standby, and can't get feedback if visualizations are in fullscreen. There were other minor bugs, but it wuld be great to start moving forward again.

I have tried this plugin. It opens an connection between the pda and the server software, but the playlist isn't getting over?

I Really like this plugin, but I did needed to install 2.3.0 to solve the WMVHD 5.1 issues with ac3filter.

I'm new mediaportal user and i have same issue on my htc p3600 trinity wm6. I can only control but playlist don't work.

Please someone can fix this plugin?
