Ok, I m still on MP 0.2.0.0 and I was just about to upgrade it to 0.2.1.0, but then it occurred ot me MPBlue might have problems. SO, up to what version of MP does MPblue work with? Can anyone confirm? Thanks. (also hoping for an update, biggest pet peave is the pda standby issue)

Ok, this might be a stupid idea, but since now the TV engine is getting client/server based, wouldnt it be relatively easy to have MPBlue act as a TV client (and to make matters even simpler) probably using an outside video player that supports streams like TheCore player or VLC for PocketPC ... altough they're bot still at experimental status but hey! I don't know (yet) if there are SQL clients for PPCs that could be used to handle the client/server communication between PPC and TV server (for channel changing and such) but it sounds feasible to me. The same could apply for My Videos (using TheCore that is).

Ok, jumping back to my question, I finally said FI and installed 0.2.1.0, MP blue works just as good as on 0.2.0.0.

regarding the client, Orb currently streams using the windows media player. I am not sure how MP streams yet (if you need MP installed on each computer). If that is the case, they will probably need something specific for streaming to ppc, and more importantly you'll need something that streams at a reduced rate. Orb does a good job of this so that would be a good benchmark. I think that function comes outside the scope of MPBlue, however, if it were simple enough to simply stream to media player ( and there are better ppc media players, TCPMP is my choice and I think it is open source) then MPBlue could probably call that show and have an option to receive strem and launch the ppc media player. It could also do this for audio, assuming there is an audio streaming engine in MP (which I haven't looked into yet)

Of course, I would prefer those be separate choices, either play on the server (say through my whole house entertainment center) or stream to ppc or both.

jeezes,

it's been ages since i visited here... sorry about that guys..

I had to do some home improvement, furniture building etc...
I had contact with someone over MSN (don't know if he/she is a registerd user here...)
who wanted to continue developemnt of MPBlue I told him/her to go for it..
all the source is available in the package...

I did'nt work on MPBlue since version 0.5.0.0, I'm hoping to pick it up again in some time (it's getting colder outside anyway) but for the moment I'm still hard at work designing a garden house

to answer some of the questions:
kouloubike: no for the moment the res is hardcoded at 320 by 240, but the skin engine can support any resolution

supermario: not sure about the error, only thing i can think of is invalid connection settings.. is mpblue.dll still present in both the root of mp and in de pluing folder?

sorry for not getting back earlier..

oh jeay, another reason for the long delay is that my PDA broke down last month :( so I'm using a regular MCE remote now (and I like it too..)

Can anyone tell me where I could find an older version of MPBlue?

I have an old PPC which I would like to use to control Media Portal but I can't use CF 2.0 on it.
