Re: MPDisplay2 - MP Secondary Display

Well, as I mentioned, I'm running 1.1.3 so I suggest you try it, and let us know if it works...

You are using the wrong plugin file.. Try this one:

    Download Section

Put the dll file into the plugin -> process folder.. Also download one of the skins here:

This is the actual released "MP Display 2 v0.6.0.3" version. This one works with MP 1.2.0 beta.
gdl has implemented a quick and dirty solution for the misplacing problem i have after resuming from standby.
This new dll is built against 1.1.3 and doesnt work on 1.2.0 beta

but thanks for the try ;)

ow okay, that I did not understand .. :)

Strange that you are having trouble coming out of hibernation .. I do not have that problem.

I have another problem: The plugin Sleep Control does not work with this plugin.. It is because of this file: TVcontrol.dll. When I remove that file from the installation folder of media portal it works, just does not work sleep control, and when I put him backworks sleepcontrol again, but does not work MPdisplay2..

My second monitor (where MPD2) is showed isnt always on. It will be powered if my TV gets power (over IR CMD) -> to safe energy.
So if the second monitor shows the windows desktop background after resume MPD2 is on the main screen - overlaying MediaPortal :-(

Also my MediaPortal 1.2.0 crashes if ill send shutdown_suspend througth the KeyBoardinputPLugin. It just freezes and i must kill it with taskmanager.

I think i have to wait for the next version of MPDisplay2 and MediaPortal.

    Popy,

I've implemented a quick and dirty repositioning in the DLL attached (please note that this one is compiled against version 1.1.3 of the MediaPortal core), please check it out and let me know if it's working properly (or not).

Ok, now i have installed 1.1.3 and tried your fix.
It works as it should :)

    thank you.

One other question. i am using the x-factor skin for mpdisplay2 but i cant see the tv progressbar.
    EPG are displayed correctly.
Do you have any other hint?

    thx pOpY

Do you have installed the actual Version of X-Factor Skin? Download Section

Here the TVProgress Bar is working fine. (With normal 0.6.0.3 Version)

    Cheers,

Yes i am using the newest x-factor skin (downloaded last week).

But i am using gdl`s fix version of this post: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/762690-post319.html
He has implemented a workaround that MPDisplay2 regonizes its on the wrong display (after resume) and move itself to the correct position.

I have looked at the versionnumber of his DLL it shows 0.6.0.2, maybe thats the problem?

Could you please talk to him, maybe you could make an 0.6.0.3 version with his fix?

    thx

Now i am back at newest v0.6.0.3 (from homepage). TV Progressbar is working again.

i have managed to workaround with an dirty dirty autoit script against my problem of mpdisplay2 is on the wrong screen after suspend or disconnect and connect secondary monitor :) (see attachment)

The script just checks the position of the MPDisplay2 window every 3 seconds and correct it to the right one.
(THIS SCRIPT IS JUST FOR 1920x1080 Resolution - but if you need it you can simply install autoit, edit the script to your needs and compile it again).

Wondermusic: Maybe you could implement gdl's working fix in the upcomming versions.

THX for this very nice plugin
