Hi Geert-Jan,

I'm not very familiar with xml, but I think I've found the setting.
Have changed the "Scroll"-setting in the GlobalSettings.xml in the PureVisionHD skin folder with XML-Notepad 2007 manually to "False".
Now waiting...

BTW: Is a more complex skin like PureVisionHD more "sensitive" to possible error-behaviuor?
Should I try a simpler default-skin?

Roger,

The more complex the skin, the higher the CPU load, which might lead to timing problems, which might crash the plugin (although it should not). We need to find out exactly what is causing the problem, and that is pretty difficult if it does not occur on my development PC

Let me know if the no-scrolling has solved the issue, that would point me in a direction...

Hi Geert-Jan,

Same error again also with edited xml.
For safety I changed the skin to the default "Blue" skin and also turned off scrolling there in the respective xml.
(So using the PureVisionHD-skin has nothing to do with the error.)

BTW: CPU-load can't be an issue. It's around 10% with only MP running and goes to 50% at absolut maximum when heavy background load is
running.

I made 2 observations:

1.) The error seems to occur consistently after MP is running around 50 minutes quietly from start without any user actions.
2.) I once was able to have a look at the touchscreen at the exact moment when the error occurred.
The display didn't abruptly go black, but it looked more like the MP-Display2 was fading to black.

Another information about a non-standard setting in my setup:
I use "large fonts" in the desktop-theme layout and a 120-dpi for the display in the advanced/extended display settings.

A smal problem with the new version, in RADIO the 2. display dont show the stations, it shows the selection dialog-> view in list, icon...

I have the exact problem plus some more on both my MP Clients. I use the BlueDark skin. I dont have lists showing in the 2nd display also for Music, No list entries for Movies - i guess i dont have any lists at all . Furthermore when i play music i get the screen with the equalizer as expected but the equalizer is not working.

Can it be that i missed something, maybe some specialty to get it running properly in a client/server setup?

Very strange.
But I figured out a problem on my htpc and not on my dev... When choosing a playlist and start playing this, there are no informations shown on the 2nd display. On my Dev everything is good...
Can it be, that you made an update from MP 1.1.3 to 1.2(.1)? I made this on my htpc and there are problems. On a clean install (my dev) everything works fine.

I fear i upgraded whenever a new release was out without performing a fresh install. Will try now on the laptop setup with a fresh client. Do you think a fresh install of the TV server is also necessary? By the way i have a BDA for Server setup running, emulating Win7 in my Server 2008 R2 to get the DVB-S cards running. This is a bit exotic, might this give any reason?

EDIT: Freshly installed the Laptop Client with complete cleanup before - no effect.

No. Server has nothing to do with MPD2 Installation.

This is curious. Running on one system on the other not...
But in my case (issue mentioned above) it's not only MPD2. It's also an issue of MP. Doesn't matter which Skin I'm using. The screen that comes normally up after selection of a playlist is missing. I'll try to investigate a bit more today.

Hello together,

now I had the time to test a bit more an with different MP Skins.
Here is the Problem..! In this Case it depends on the MP Skin that you are using. Most Problems with DefaultWide, less with aMPed and only one missing List with Backdrop (my Default Skin of MP).
This might cost a bit more time to figure out where's the exact problem. So I'm not sure if we can hold the next release date... :sorry:

Thanks Richy, i wasnt aware that there was such a big impact regarding MP Skin and MPD2. I also tried backdrop now on the Laptop Install and it worked as expected.
